Great place to go. 4/7/2011

Great customer service. They have never called me, specially not to harass me like the other people say they had done to them. Their items are over priced but I believe that's because of their finance charge. The products I got from them (Washer & Dryer) works very well. The guys that brought them to me brought them into my house, hooked them up and even showed me they worked. I'm very satisfied with this Rent-A-Center. After I pay off the washer & dryer I will come back for more stuff. :) more

OVER PRICED but convenient 9/23/2005

Bottom line is, they are a convenience to the people who can't afford to go out and purchase appliances or furniture outright cash or credit. They do not check your credit and this is also a convenience to many people as well. But there is a major set back to this convenience, they hassle you regularly with their ongoing phone calls, whether you are late on payment or always on time. If your payment is due on a Saturday before closing, they will call you Friday night and/or Saturday morning just to remind you that your payment is due. I have had this experience, and I am usually timely with my payment. And if for some reason or another, I will be late, I have contacted them in advance. The other thing to realize is, the price you pay is HIGH, as they do charge you triple the price you would pay outright to the stores. Convenience is pricey in this case. PROS: Convenient, no credit check needed, deliver, replace item if unrepairable CONS: OVER PRICED, hassle to the point of more

Not nice 9/12/2005

I have only dealt with Rent a center on one occasion and do not plan to do so ever again. My washer broke down and I was in need of a new one. While waiting for my income tax check to arrive, I decided to rent one from them for a month. Upon renting my dryer, I paid my month in full. The brought the washer to my house, dropped it off in my laundry room without even hooking it up for me. One week left on my rental agreement they called me asking for payment for the next week. I told them I was returning the item and already had a date scheduled for pick up. The Manager got on the phone and told me he was coming to pick my washer up that day if I did not arrange a payment with him for the following week. They were very rude to me, to the point of harrassment. I kept the washer till my month was over, and I ignored the 25+ calls made to my house thanks to caller ID. I have filed a complaint with MIchigans BBB and the US BBB. more

prices are not good, convience is good 9/8/2005

im more of a convient type person and all though their prices are very high for their products they convience is all thogther making up for it. if you have the money i recomend just buying it at a store. and they call far to much even if you are not late. more

Will never go there again 6/18/2005

Customer service is almost as important if not more to me than prices. The customer service at this establishment is beyond rude. I always made my payments on time, but one day i got a nasty call saying they were calling the police or coming to get my stuff. Needless to say i was very upset, and once the smoke had cleared, I had been right. Someone had not updated the computer. I complained to the manager and even wrote to the home office. Rent a center send me a 15 minute phone card for thier mistake. Let me clarify by saying, they also called my mother, brother and sister and harrassed them about my payment that was not made, again it was thier error. PROS: NONE CONS: RUDE more
