I am a nurse, single mother of twin boys and as you can imagine, my time is valuable. I responded to an ad I saw on craigslist about an apartment in South City. I talked to a representative from Rent Source. The gentleman was very professional and informative. I made an appointment to meet with him about the apartment and was excited to see that he had several apartments for me to see in my budget. I ended up viewing 4. My boys and I moved in to our favorite three days later. I recommend Rent Source to everyone looking to move! more

I Giant Scam. My girlfriend responded to an add on Craigslist for a house in the 63110 area code. She spoke with a woman named Kelly who said she was a representative of rent source and that they had this house any several other meeting our qualifications in the 63110 area code. She scheduled a meeting at 12 on Saturday to discuss these homes. When we got there was no Kelly there. The woman we spoke with told us we had to sign something and pay $90 before they would give us the listings. After we signed we were given a packet with no houses in the 63110 area code and when we protested they berated us and voided our contract saying we were causing a scene and we were not getting a refund. In the end all they provide is a list of things people can find online with a little effort and they lie about was is available. more

I just wanted to say to all the haters out there that I used Rent Source today. I was given several listing of homes to check out in my areas. I looked at 6 houses. I made a decision, Today, and I am moving in Friday. So…All you people who say you didn’t get in a house, I think it’s because you were too lazy to help yourself. I’ll read your responses from my new house. Thank you Rent Source! more

I thought It was a great service. I had mixed feelings about using them but i'm glad i did. They found me a place right away and the landlord is a great guy too. it was nice not needing to drive around all day trying to find one myself. more

i signed up with them about in may, it took me about a month to find a place. good thing i didnt listen to my sister,lol more

I kept running into this company online when I started looking for a rental home. Every time I called I talked to different person, they all said the same thing, that they could help and they had everything I needed and my recent foreclosure and credit didn't matter, I really didn't believe them, and then with an upfront fee, I was sure they were scam. I am making this post for 2 reasons because I want other people to know that they really can help and because I feel bad for having doubt and judging them poorly at first. I signed up for the service and didn't really like anything they gave me to look at that day, the next day I got more homes to look at, I didn't like those either, of course I was dicouraged, I started to freak out, I called and complained and was told to keep using the service, I was very aggravated. I waited a couple days and got more homes from them and I was actually surprised. I fell in love with 3 of the homes, all of the sudden I had a decision to make on which 1 I wanted. 2 out of the 3 landlords didn't even want to run or see my awful credit score and report and the other 1 was willing to rent to me even after seeing it. Me and my family now have a new start in a beautiful home and I found it through this company. Thank you Rent Source, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for rental home. more

71 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 35 closed in last 12 months says it all, I think. I always check out a company with BBB and see the rating and complains there. I wouldn't want to pay $85 for a service that seems to be that bad. more

This the worst company ever!!! The one positive review is likely staged in order to help their report. I never even made it into the office due to the rude customer service rep. I questioned why the consumer has to pay and the landlord can list for free and the answer was to keep rent prices down-lie! Then I asked about the screening process since I am paying and to ensure that I am not getting to a slum landlord, questionable individual or foreclosed property. The response was that they don't verify the properties, so essentially I could call and list a property. The guy got upset with my questions and started cutting me off. I was skeptical of paying for a service in the first place considering typically the landlord pays. Now, I am certain that this company is a scam and I recommend that no one utilizes this company!!! more

I have found my last two homes using Rent Source. First one in 2009 (took about a week) and again this year (took about a month). They have tons of leads that I could not find on my own and many private landlords. That was great for me since I have bad credit. It is a great service and works well for those who don?t have a lot of time or that are picky like my wife. Saved me time and money. I would send anyone I know to Rent Source for their next home. more
