I wish I would have read these before I got screwed. more

I would have to question any of those 5 star reviews. I am positive that the owner paid people to write those reviews same as he pays the contractor board to dismiss claims against him (my opinion). Can't believe he is still in business with the way he does business. Those people who said they deal with a nice owner must have met him only in their dreams. He will not deal with the public. I HATE my pool. It is so plain and boring, faded, the cool decking around it started chipping right away but he uses inferior subcontractors. This is absolutely the WORST mistake I have made concerning my house and it has been totally remodeled. Wish I could go back to the days before I purchased this junk of a pool because I would have done my research, listened to these reviews, and called the contractor's board. I HATE MY POOL!!! It will probably be the one thing that will prevent my house from selling (no I am not upside down in my house, fortunately). DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!! more

I am more than happy with my pool and expierence with Renaissance pools. My neighbor had a concrete pool and had nothing but problems with it so he had renaissance pools rip out his concrete pool and replace it with a ceramic pool. I feel in love with his pool so that is why I went down and bought mine from them. They had lots to choose from and the sales staff was not pushy, plus thier prices were about the same if not less than the other companys I went to. I had no problems with the constructin end of it. They told me it would take about 3-4 weeks to finish my pool and it was done in 17 days. Needless to say I would highly recomend them and if I ever move I will be buying my second pool from them. Pros: price, product design, nice sales people Cons: none that I know of more

WE ARE IN CONTRACT WITH THE BOULDER HWY LOCATION, WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE CRAIG RD. STORE. yesterday, while on the phone with Jim, the owner, my husband was yelled at, threatened, and hung up on. ""Once they have your money, they turn into the devil."" this is a quote I just read from another 'poster'. I am starting to believe that. They were so nice and helpful at first, now Jim's story seems to be changing, and he's getting very angry and short. We aren't really happy with the way we were treated but I am civil enough to know that getting angry and acting like an idiot doesn't get you anywhere. We are still in the middle of our contract... I'm hoping Jim has cooled down, and will change his tune today. An apology to my husband for the way he was treated is due, however, I'm not holding my breath. And the threatening!?! Where in the world did that come from. When this deal is all done, I hope to have a great pool in my own back yard retreat, and never have to deal with these people again. I'm a true believer in Karma, and I think Jim is going to get a big wake up call on his customer service relations. It's too bad they are the only dealer of Viking Pools in the area. more

We decided to take advantage of the current economic situation and get a ceramic pool from Renaissance. I have only dealt with the owner, Jim and his wife. So far, so good. We are doing the install ourself. They are there to offer help every step of the way. They are letting us use their trailer for delivery free of charge. They gave us a great deal on the pool and all the accessories. Of course, the pool is not done yet, so who knows, they could turn into the devil just like another reviewer said, but so far, they aren't. I highly recommend going threw an owner of the company if at all possible, instead of a salesman. Pros: friendly, not pushy Cons: gotta spend money. more

Wow, a pool in 4 weeks? 16 days? I think someone is writing some phoney reviews here. These clowns couldn't install a blowup pool in that much time. They tried to tell us they could install a pool in 4 weeks but what a bunch of lies. It took several MONTHS. They were backed up on work and short on laborers but never short on excuses. If you want a decent size pool as we did it's obviously not going to go in in 3-4 weeks. Anyone who's had a pool installed knows the amount of work involved especially if you want anything nice done to it. Inspections alone take weeks to complete and they failed so many of ours we had enormous delays. We ordered a basic pool but it still took 2 months just to deliver. They installed ONE filter for our 16,000 gal pool which we were informed by a professional is way over worked for this size of pool. All selling points they use to hook us in on this pool were lies. Fast installation: FALSE- months. Less chemicals: FALSE - just as many as a regular pool. Less energy: False - we have to run our pool just as much as a concrete pool and because our ONE filter has to run 16,000 gals through it and we have to clean it more frequently. They also don't TELL you that these types of pools can't be drained and cleaned like a concrete pools. Draining it you can cause serious damage to the shell but ask any pool expert, you HAVE to change out the water in your pool eventually because the water become so hard that the chemicals stop working. They won't take any responsibilty if any damge is done to your pool if you try to drain it either. This is a secret fact they hide because they try to make it look like they are better and easier to maintain than concrete pools when in fact they are not. Overall their pools might cost less than SOME of their competitors but that's because you get what you pay for. Their pool designs are cheap and boring. These guys are the Wal-mart of the pool industry. If you want a nice pool, don't hire these guys. Cons: liars, bad service, slow installation, sleasy sales tactics more

My husand and I brought our Renaissance Pool in 2005. The installation was done very quickly. The Customer Service was great. Also the workers were very professional and polite. The office staff was always available for any questions that we had during our installation. We have had no problems with our pool. I would highly recommend this pool and company. Pros: Excellent Customer Service more

When my husband and I began looking for a pool in 2007 we had no knowledge of pools or the required maintenance on pools. The salesperson at Renaissance was very knowledgeable and polite. He advised us of the savings we would enjoy with a Renaissance Ceramic Pool as a result of the minimal amount of maintenance required as compared to the old style concrete pools. The installation was only 4 weeks from start to finish. The company was very responsive to all our needs and requests during that time. The workers were very professional and polite. The pool is fantastic. It is beautiful and their is virtually no maintenance required to keep it looking that way. Our family couldn't be happier with the choice of Renaissance and their ceramic pool. Pros: beautful product with life time warranty. more

I dont know what the other people are talking about. I bought my pool in may of 2007 and Renaissance had my pool completley finished in 16 days!!!! The office staff kept me informed of the whole process, and was friendly. Also everyone that came to my house was renaissance employees not a bunch a sub contractors. this was the only company I went to that didnt attack me right when i walked thru the door. They wernt phushy like the other companys i went to. My pool is so pretty I get tons of complements on how the water looks like the beach (I got the pebble beach color) The pool itself is amazing, so easy to clean.I got the bermuda model and it has lots of seats and a walking ledge for my kids. I also got the shasta spa (round model) I couldnt be happier with the service or the product. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. This place is worst than the other two reviews state. They are the worst business in Las Vegas. After they have your money they turn into the devil. The worst summer I have ever spent was the year that I had these swindlers put a pool in for me, plus the owner is friends with people at the contractors board, so you don't have any options to have these decietful people do things right. The owner will not talk to you, all that you can speak to are german women that must have learned there customer service skills from Hitler himself. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, AND FIND A POOL PLACE THAT HAS CREDENTIALS-- AS RENAISANCE POOLS HAS NONE. I have never been treated as bad as these people treated me, and my family. They took allot more time to to get it in, broke water lines that were blammed on me, broke my fence, and I had to repair it. put cool deck all over my freshly painted wall, and would not repaint it. Also everyone except the office workers are subcontracters, so you could do the same job yourself, and it would be better for you. They never did any work that passed clark county regulations the first time, and then blammed not passing on me, and I did not do any of the work. They are a sleazy, lazy, ignorant company. They must know people in the legal system to stay in business. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. I would advise not to enter a contract with this company. They are deceitful and sleazy. They claim they can build a pool in as little as 3 weeks and it took over 9 months to complete ours. Their contract states that they will finish contruction within 180 however when they don't they claim they are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside their control such as weather, unavailibilty of materials, or laborers not showing up for work. It never rained once while they were supposed to be excavating our yard however they frequently never showed up for work on days promised and never returned our calls when we complained. They claim they do not use sub-contractors on all their ads but this is a lie also. They have several sub contractors that come to the home and they do not claim responsibilty for their cause in delays or problems. Their are hidden fees in the contract for permits and extra equipment that they never tell you about. Overall, this company was a bad experience to deal with. They were unproffesional and rude over the phone any time we needed to discuss any issues or problems. Anyone would be better off with a concrete pool. It's not worth the hassle and nightmare we experienced. Cons: very slow installation, rude service more
