I bought a used van from Reliable Auto, in Monsey, NY. About a week after I bought it, I had to have the ignition cyllender replaced for $900.00 (because it was after hours). The day after I bought it, I realized it was having problems, but I HOPED it would last until the weekend, so I could go back to ""Reliable"" to have it fixed. The owner, Abe, sells his cars without the FEDERAL mandated information that is supposed to be posted on the vehicle. Not to mention, that he attempted to charge me for the inspection when the law states that a dealer MUST complete a vehicle safety and emmisions inspection. He sold me the car ""as is"" which is illegal in NY State. All dealers MUST have an implied waranty on the vehicle. One of the parts that the implied waranty covers is the ignition system. Let's hope that Abe is a ""reliable"" and does the right thing! I would hate to have to report him for NOT performing a proper inspection, having ME PAY for the inspection and not holding up to his responabilites as a used car dealer! Remember everyone. An informed consumer is a dealer's worst nightmare!
