Reincarnation Vintage Design

Our house is a home that reflects our personality, because of Reincarnation Vintage Design. My husband and I found Ron and Cyndy a few years ago. Our one-of-a-kind kitchen table, benches, buffet, fireplace mirror and decorative slate chalkboard have all come from Reincarnation. We love the fact that each piece has history, and didn't come from a PB or Arhaus factory. I chuckle when my furniture catalogs come in the mail - what they feature now - we saw in Reincarnation years before. Ron and Cyndy are a gem to work with. What better feeling to spend your money knowing that it's being used to give new life, to perfectly good reclaimed materials. Ron and Cyndy are open on the weekends - they use their weekdays to create wonderful pieces. Ordering items does take time. You can't expect something that Ron and Cyndy make for you to be available in short time. Maybe the big box furniture stores can deliver to you in 2 weeks, but I'd rather wait a bit longer for a one-of-a-kind item, that I can pass on to my children. more

I have been to Reincarnation several times, picking up trinkets here and there and have always had a great experience. Even when I didn't purchase something, I have been treated very kindly and the owners generally seem interested in what I have to say. I had not been in there in a few months and as soon as I walked in today they not only remembered me, but knew how they knew me. Where else can you find that? Also, I was able to find some great pieces including a shelf and a large wooden sign for much less than I'd expect to pay at a store of one-of-a-kind items. I will continue to come back again and again. more

I am really surprised to read the negative reviews recently posted about this great store and I felt that I had to offer my experience. I have purchased many items from Reincarnation and the owners, Ron and Cyndy, are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am always finding unique items there that make everyone who visits my home exclaim, ""where did you buy that""?! This place is a treasure trove of cool chalkboards, mirrors, furniture, and odds and ends that you can't find anywhere else. It's so fun to peruse all of their inventory. The owners have great taste and are extremely fair on pricing. I simply don't understand the negative reviews that I'm reading about the quality of the products offered, selection, pricing, or friendliness of the owners. I have experienced none of this over the period that I have been a customer. Don't be scared off by a few negative reviews. Judge for yourself. more

My son goes to University in Cleveland and as a new divorced ""hip"" mom ( haha) visiting my Son over Easter I decided to hit REINCARNATION last Saturday. I LOVE vintage design and Industrial and MCM- my former husband didn't. Years ago I went there and it was FABULOUS, last Saturday it was not even close to good. They have gone shabby chic, country!!! I couldn't believe my eyes , I thought I was in Kentucky or Baton Rouge !! How is a washtub full of old Country Living mags INDUSTRIAL???? Furthermore the owners were rushed and rude. Now I'm not one for business bashing and I certainly understand the hardships of business.. ( my former had a window business ) but what on earth....Ithe sleigh was cool on the ceiling and I liked the dining table ( tho fabricated out of bed posts). And what's with the new sofa in the front? It looks like target? Also..though I was interested in some things for my new cottage-they were either SOLD ( and still on the floor ) or not available for purchase..infact ..almost everything I asked about wasn't for sale..it was there to be repurposed?? In to what or Into whose idea?may I ask.. the owners? why not sell it.. then there's no work involved. stupid. Weird store. Uncomfortable I'll stick to Pittsburg!! THANKS. LOVE CLEVELAND tho! While my partner and I used to love this place, we have seen a huge decline in quality of product, uniqueness of product and overall accessibility of the owners-Ron And Cindy. I'd say we used to visit them once a month. They were always happy to see us, and while they never extended an overly friendly welcome, we were never made to feel like we were a pain either...and they always answered our questions and gave us discounts ( rather tiny ones, smaller than any other store around, but I'm happy with the gesture - I guess? Hmm ?) 8/9-10times they had cool stuff,sometimes GREAT stuff - though definitely at the top range of our budget on some items ( but still do-able with a little less spending on coffee and eating out! ). However I have to say that within the last year we haven't felt as welcome as we used to. Ms.Cindy's smile has turned more often than not to a blank stare and her husband Ron has been increasingly obstinate about deals. Quite frankly after last Saturday..( we got there at 10:10 am with friends form Columbus only to find them CLOSED with no EASTER notice) I don't think we'll ever return. I had talked them up so much..I looked like an idiot! Furthermore.. we went back later and they had closed EARLY!!! IT REALLY IRKS ME when SHOP OWNERS don't STICK to THEIR business HOURS! (and) REINCARNATION is ONLY open two DAYS a WEEK! If you can't even get to your job on time two days a week..it's time to jump the fence to different pastures!!! My opinion..they hate their business! Or they're giving up! Maybe they just sell to dealers and build stuff for the Local Eateries and open as a token to the public. Really they should regroup..I prefer no store rather than a half assed attempt at one. VERY DISAPPOINTING after 5 yrs of patronage! Sorry guys... more

My husband and I were so thrilled to discover this gem of a business in the heart of the Antique District on Lorain Ave. The day we first wandered into Reincarnation we knew we'd be return customers. Ron has a keen eye and a creative flair, not to mention amazing furniture building skills. Cyndy knows how to take their fabulous unique finds and creations and put them all together in original clever displays which make you want to redesign your home and stock it with their gritty industrial intelligent vibe. We immediately fell in love with a set of oak mission chairs, which Cyndy & Ron agreed to hold for us until our new kitchen was finished. We had been looking everywhere for a large kitchen table, and Ron agreed to make one for us, creating the perfect table to the exact measurements we wanted at a more than reasonable price. He delivered the table and chairs to our home on the other side of town on the day we requested for a nominal fee. We could not be happier. It just MAKES our new kitchen. We look forward to visiting Reincarnation on a regular basis because we will always find cool new pieces that we won't find anywhere else. Make sure you check out the upstairs room when you visit. And if you don't see exactly what you want, you just might be able to get Ron to make it for you. more

This place is great. They are doing something that no one else in Cleveland can or will, designing furniture from reclaimed materials. There furniture is amazing and the prices are really modest. It looks like a high-end design shop in New York City, but their prices are totally Cleveland. I seriously recommend stopping in to see all the new furniture and get a chance own one of there great pieces! Pros: Awesome Design Work, Great Space, Incredible Prices more

I have been a customer of Reincarnation Vintage Design for over 5 years. During that time I have had nothing but positive experiences with Ron and Cyndy. Both Ron and Cyndy have gone out of their way to provide me with excellent customer service - that has included helping to find specific items for my home, calling me when they have an item that they think will work in my home, and holding larger items for me until I was able to get them picked up. Their demeanor is professional, friendly, honest and fair. Pros: Ron and Cyndy Cons: None that I have encountered more

To Charles, whom we never have met, we are sorry you missed a call and the oppurtunity to purchase an item you wanted. My Girlfriend and her mother went to RVD over Easter, and while there, the owners brought out a workbench that would work perfectly for a particular space in my newly remodeled home. When asked about their purchasing protocol, RVD responded with a ?first come, first serve? policy.
