The first time I went to this dental office they took X-Rays. Then Dr. Reidy examined my teeth and used several technical terms while talking to his assistant. He did not say one word to me! I don't think he even said hello! Afterwards his assistant told me to see the office manager regarding a ""treatment plan."" I sat down with her. She had the X-Rays and the results of my exam in front of her, and told me that I needed over $700 worth of work! The work I needed was deep cleaning and having my wisdom teeth pulled. She said Dr. Reidy would not do any work on me unless I had this done.\r
Okay, so they referred me out to an oral surgeon, to have my wisdom teeth pulled, and my insurance covered most of it. But every time I went to see Dr. Reidy it was the same routine. He would use technical jargon while talking to his assistant, then leave without so much as a word to me. Then I would see the office manager to go over my ""treatment plan,"" and it was always expensive.\r
On top of that, they tried to overcharge me more than once. I kept arguing with the office manger over how much my copayment was, and she said, ""That's what your insurance carrier requires."" I would call my insurance company, and they would say, ""No, that's not what your copayment is. We will call them for you."" (I was right all along). Once Dr. Reidy's office had to pay me back for overcharging me. \r
I finally got tired of Dr. Reidy not treating me like a human being, and their office manager trying to overcharge me, and them always finding something wrong with my teeth every time I went in there. \r
I am going to a dentist in La Jolla now where I get treated much better. They don't find a major problem every time aI go in, and they bill me the right amount!
