I visited regional Urology at the request of my doctor to get consultation on a problem my personal doctor thought I was having. All tests and UltraSound results were sent for Dr. Stage to look at. While the doctor was very pleasant and seemed genuinly concerned, I was told I had a serious problem and they needed to do a CT Scan to verify. \r
I was told that I had not reached my deductible on my insurance and would have to pay the balance needed to meet the deductible up front and they would then bill the insurance for the 90 percent they would cover, then they would bill me for the remaining 10 percent. Since I had just paid $875.00 to have the UltraSound and I was not having any pain or discomfort I opted to delay the test until I could talk with my regular doctors. I was then met by who I can only assume was the billing manager just outside the exam room and was escorted to the front desk and told that I had to pay for the doctors visit "NOW".
