Great Thai Experience 10/18/2008

Just tried their box dinner which was very nice, and incredibly tasty. You can't go wrong with the amount of food you get, and the assortment in entrees for $13. Pros: Friendly staff, very good food more

I thought I was ordering from "Regional Thai Sawoy," but the food came along with a menu and packaging from the thai food chain "Spice." I was not impressed with the shrimp pad thai or the chicken pad see hew. Both meats and noodles were dry. The "famous dumplings" were downright inedible. Strange bait and switch going on here. more

My favorite Thai in Manhattan! 7/25/2007

Read all the reviews, then go try it yourself. I rarely like to eat Thai anywhere else because it always pales in comparison to this place. Nice decor, cozy, with the best pad Thai and coconut rice around. When I can't decide what to order, I'll order their ""box"" dinner, a kind of sampler that comes with an assortment of appetizers like some very delcious dumplings, and a main dish or your choosing. I like the seasoning on their pork chops, and when I feel like going healthy, I really enjoy their vegetables and tofu with curry. Delicious and healthy. Prices are very reasonable and service attentive. Pros: Hidden gem in the UES Cons: um...well the wine list could be bigger more

Its Thai Food with great personality! 12/20/2006

I have been to many thai food restaurant and this one ranks top in my opinion. The ambience was wonderful with plenty of artefacts and the candle light was very soothing and romantic. There is amural of a dragonfly artiscially drawn at the back of the restaurant and the juxtaposition of color clashes in a very ecelectic ""asian"" style. more

Best Thai on the UES 12/13/2006

I definitely agree with the rest of the reviews that this is by far the best Thai food on the UES. The service is great, the drinks are tasty and I love those free crunchy noodles they sometimes give out. It is better to go then to order delivery as one person said. If you want to order delivery you should do it by 6/6:30 otherwise they tell you no they aren't doing delivery or it will take an hour and 1/2. I've been to Jasmine also on the UES and it was terrible, their Pad Thai was tastless compared to Thai Sawoy. I'm actually going there tonight!! Pros: Good Food, Drinks & Service - the Thai box gives a taste of everything! Cons: Delivery stinks! more

BEST THAI FOOD AND SERVICE!!! 9/11/2006

My husband and I happened to stop by this place to have thai food. I have to say the service was excellent and the pre-fix menu was great. The price was unbelievable for what you get (and it was simply delicious) you have to try the Chile Salmon. Will definitely go back!!!! :-) more

Terrific Thai on the UES!!! 6/1/2006

This is simply the BEST Thai on the UES! Great food and a lot of fun. Bring a date or come with friends, you will not be disappointed. Tasty, tropical cocktails and outdoor seating too! Delectable desserts (Napolean Creme Brulee) for $5!!! Just go and enjoy it already! more

The best in the neiborhood! 2/16/2006

This is the best Thai in the neiborhood for sure!!! The service, the decor and especially the food, YUMMY. Don't miss out on the tom ka gai it is the best I've ever had. The pad thai and all the other noodle dishes are fantastic. Curries - fantastic! I am getting hungry thinking about it! I've never had a bad experience here! An upper east side gem! Pros: food, decor Cons: delivery a bit slow more

This is my favorite thai restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The Thai steak is moist, tender, and great with the chili sauce. more

Top Thai 3/23/2004

This should have made the survey for NYC's best Thai restaurants. The decor is gorgeous (especially upstairs), the service is impeccable, and the food is wonderful--very balanced sweet/spicy/light--not at all the heavy-handed curry you've come to expect. All the Thai favorites are represented and beautifully turned out. more

WOW 8/25/2003

This spot is definately a gem. We sat outside and the manager gave us a complimentary biscuit with honey as well as 2 glasses of wine. The thai salad was great and the Triangle spring rolls were light but were fantastic. The Pad thai noodles were light but a texture that I've never had before. For dessert we ate a coconut icecream which was smooth and not overbearing. Get the price fix. The waitstaff is attentive and extremely polite. more

Delivery What! you not order! 8/4/2003

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The decor is great and the food is very good and always consistent. The wait staff is always friendly and prompt. I recommend the pre-fix for the best value. The thai-iced tea is fabulous. more
