my cousin had just come from picking up a couple of prescriptions before we went to the theater. on the way in the ticket taker asked us to open our purses. when he saw a bottle of water in her purse he told her she can't bring it in. we explained that it was not for consumption in the theater. it was to keep with her medicines she would be taking that night and that we were going to purchase food and drinks there. he said it doesn't matter because they sell water there so we can't bring it in. we asked for a manager and explained the situation and he told us we need to throw the bottle out and buy a bottle of water from the theater. i could see if we were some stupid teenagers trying to bring in stuff to eat during the movie but we weren't. we are (2) 30 year old women who even told them we would be buying food and drinks there. it was obvious we weren't trying to smuggle food in and not buy from them. if they had common sense they wouldn't have lost the $23 ticket sales and nearly $30 in food sales and all future business from us, our family and friends.
on top of that, the manager charged my credit card again instead of refunding it. he did realize his mistake and fixed it but as a manager he should not have made it in the first place.
Pros: large theaters
Cons: run by illogical fools
