Regal Cafe

I enjoyed a great meal. The Fedellini al Cecca is angel hair pasta with tomatoes and basil - a simple tasty dish with big chunks of ripe tomato, and get some cracked pepper on top. Also the gelato for dessert is a treat - it's served like a slice of cheesecake, try the mango - not too strong a flavor, with a buttery crust and topped with nuts and toasted coconut. I had this same meal twice and it was excellent both times. If you stop by at dinnertime, it'll be busy so be prepared to wait - and the cafe is tiny, so you may have to wait outside in the cold. The prices are very reasonable and the food is definitely worth it. more

I have a really bad selfish tendency to not review places that I absolutely LOVE. I like to keep these places on the DL, but I'll get over it for regal-cafe-pizzeria. because they deserve their props. They do everything perfect! I've been racking my brain to even list one thing I don't like about this place and all I could come up with is that sometimes their wood door is hard to open when it's cold out. That's it! Everything else is perfect! more

It's an ideal place to go to talk to a friend, to work on your laptop, to kill time. I wouldn't go there to drink the coffee by itself or to eat the food. The coffee is not the best, and neither are the baked goods. The cakes are a bit on the buttery side. But the variety of the food is good, if you are hungry you can always find something. more

$53 FOR A LARGE PIZZA!?!? I can't believe a place like this is still in business. Only in Boston, where there are barely any late night delivery places, if any, could these ripoff artists continue to operate. I ordered some food late one night with some friends, and we chose them since they were pretty much the only game in town. We (unwisely) called in the order without reading the reviews online first, ordering a large pizza and wings. Somehow 2 orders of french fries and mozzarella sticks that we didn't even want were included. They took our credit card info and refused to give us the total when we asked, and they neglected to mention that additional food would be added to the order. The total somehow came to $53 for the 2 items that we originally ordered. 45 minutes later the shadiest delivery guy on the planet showed up with our food demanding cash, which we refused to pay, but we tipped him, which he no doubt pocketed since they informed us that tip would be included when we called back to complain. Perhaps the worst part of all this was the food itself. The pizza was cold and resembled what you might find in a school cafeteria--only far worse. Everything else was cold, soggy, and had clearly been sitting out long before we ordered it. I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say this is the worst take out food I have ever had in my life. So to sum it up, this place will steal your money, scam you, and serve you the worst dogshit food you will ever eat. I will be logging a complaint with the BBB and the Dept of Consumer Affairs, as you will no doubt want to do if you are stupid enough to order from this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
