Regal Beagle

Hi, my mother went in to Regal Beagle on Christmas Eve - doors open, lights on, no sign posted clearly where she could see the store was closed. All she was trying to do was buy a Christmas present for our little dog. Well, no sooner was she SCREAMED AT and pushed out of the store by a crazy lady that owns that store. Hospitable and friendly right? No, I think a simple ""Sorry the door was left unlocked, but we are closed for the holidays"" would have sufficed. We have been going there over a year and the lady who screamed was one who my mother regularly deals with. To treat a loyal customer like that, well I'm appalled. We will never be going back, and I will make sure that everyone, including friends' families and every review site imaginable will at least have one opinion up and will know how rude the staff and owners are (or potentially can be). Completely disappointed, and on Christmas Eve? Completely agree with the other commenter - terrible management and disappointing service. They should be ashamed of their treatment towards customers. more

The Regal Beagle is a great place for dogs! We have boarded both our labs and they came home happy and smelling better than they do normally. The staff is friendly and does have great customer service. You can tell that they are true animal lovers. A suggestion to the previous review... Don't take your kids to a place for pets. more

I took my basset lab mix in to be groomed with my two two-year-old children. The children were checking out all of the toys for the dogs and my daughter picked up a large dog bone on a bench. The manager went over to her and said ""If you do not have the money to pay for this then do not touch it. That she has to sale this stuff and if she makes it dirty then she can not sale it"" Who his a room full of stuffed animals and tells a TWO YEAR OLD child not to touch it if you do not have the money to buy it!!! Who puts benches out to sit on with pillows but says don't touch the pillows. Then when I questioned her she stated that people come in here and do not watch their children. REALLY!!!! NOW YOU ARE SAYING THAT I DO NOT WATCH MY CHILDREN!!! I asked the her ""would you like me to sign my credit card receipt or make sure that she is not picking up a dog pillow on a bench for people to sit on but not touch"". I told her that they needed a sign that said children not welcome!!! After I put the children and the dog in the car I went back in and stated that I would like the tip back and found the lady discussing what had happened to another employee in front of another customer. PROFESSIONAL!!!! I stated that I wanted to see the manager and she stated that she was the manager and then I asked for the owner. She stated that she was not here. No follow up phone call from the owner. When a spoke to the owner she stated that she was not in the store that day and that all that she can do is apologize for the way that it was handled by her sister. The regal beagle is horribly managed by family. Were is the customer service? If you do not want kids to touch your stuffed animals then why do they have them were they can reach them? Now it makes me wonder how they treated my dog after the way they treated my children. I will NEVER take my dog back to the Regal Beagle again!!!!!!!!!! more
