The Refuge has been around for as long as I can remember and it is the classic spot for Prom Night, Anniversaries, and those ""romantic"" occassions. It has a nice ambiance and a great menu. The food is typically above average however, I have had some not so stellar experiences with the service. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic evening out but not for a large crowd. My final trip there was for a 35 year wedding anniversary for my parents, which was planned/reserved for in advance, and it took nearly two hours for us to order and receive our food. They assigned us one server for a party of 25, and the management was less than apologetic. I have had good service there, though, when I have gone in smaller parties (2-6 people). The prices are above average but so is the food (typically).
Pros: ambiance, food
Cons: price, sometimes service
