Captain Tim Smith has been fishing the Chesapeake Bay and eastern shore sea side bays for over 15 years. There is no place he would rather be than on the water chasing Rockfish. He truly enjoys taking people out to enjoy a day of fishing. All trips are tailored to your goals whether you want to learn how to successfully run a planer board trolling spread, live line, light tackle jig, or just catch'em whatever way is the most productive. Capt. Tim is also a member of the Coastal Conservation Association and is a strong advocate of catch and release.. In Feb and March we fish some of the local warm water discharges where rockfish congregate. By the end of March we start fishing the catch and release season on the Susquehanna Flats,this is where the coastal migratory fish move up into the headwaters of bay to stage and feed before they spawn. By the end of April we will be fishing the Mid Bay area out of Breezy Point for the Trophy season. As things move into late spring early summer we will fish out of Chesapeake Beach which provides a great location to reach some of the best fishing spots on the bay. We will continue to fish out of Chesapeake Beach through the summer and fall when the fish begin to feed heavily for the upcoming winter. In December we will move the boat down to the lower eastern shore of Virginia to fish the incredible fishery around the structure of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
All equipment and licenses are provided. Catch and Released is encouraged but,you are welcome to keep fish within the recreational fishing limits.
