Nice indoor range for practice 11/28/2005

There aren't many shooting ranges around the Austin area, but Red's Shooting Range is located right off Hwy 290 in Oak Hill, about 1 mile before the "Y". They have guns to rent and practice shooting with, wihich makes it easy to find a gun that fits well. They sell gun accessories, amunition. The charge for shooting is done by the hour, and they monitor the range at all times to make sure everyone is following the rules and being safe. more

Great Place to shoot during bad weather 11/25/2005

What a great place to go during all kinds of weather - rain or shine. They offer guns at reasonable prices and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeble. I have not been here in a while, but they use to offer "ladies day". I think it was on Wednesdays. The business and the building are realatively new and well maintained. They have a large parking lot and no matter how busy they get, it is never a problem to get in and out of that place. We will start going here again as the kids are getting older and would like to learn to shoot. They offer gun safety courses for everyone. more

Ready....Aim....Fire! 9/12/2005

This is a great place to practice shooting your firearms in a controlled environment. Its a newer range and a great place to learn about gun safety. They require safety glasses and ear plugs (for your protection). They charge by the hour and its a reasonable charge. They have a large supply of ammunition, accessories and guns that you can purchase. The workers are very nice and offer helpful advice. more

Great place to teach about gun safety 9/5/2005

I have visited Red's Indoor Range with my husband and kids. We don't shoot other than target shooting, but we have exposed the kids to guns in a controlled environment. The staff is very helpful, and makes sure all laws/rules are followed at all times. The price is very affordable for the hourly rate. They also have different guns that you can rent out to practice shooting before you buy the gun. They are a nice indoor range, with a large selection of merchandise to try out before you buy. more
