Great place to just chill and meet people. more

Whoa! Who's their new route setter? 4/21/2010

RedPoint just keeps getting better and better! I've been climbing there for nearly four years, and I'll never go anywhere else to get my indoor climbing fix. They've got a few new setters, one of which reminds me of a sort of Bhuddist Moses, but radder. I'm loving their Tee's, too! Great for climbing in; really lightweight. Never better, guys! Oh, and check out their new MMA and CrossFit areas. Pretty sweet, as well. Pros: New Heaters! Cons: No A/C yet, but they have fans! more

Can't Get Enough!!! 12/2/2009

I have climbed the walls at RedPoint so many times I have lost count! Every time I go in there I am greeted with a smile and by name. I can not get enough of this place! I'm not the best climber in the world but every time I climb there someone is always quick to help me or encourage me. I'm not intimidated at all! The bouldering wall is huge and the toprope routes are awesome! You can't say that there's nothing to do in Fayetteville because there's RedPoint...a home away from home! Pros: best climbing place in town Cons: I can't be in there more! more

Not too Good 11/20/2009

I was in this gym for the first time today and really only liked a few of the routes. Some of the routes were rated 5.9 but were more like 5.5 way off. There was one section were the routes were traversing side ways but they sucked! I am new to Fay, but liked the Climbing Place routes a lot better. I meet some people that use to climb at Red Point but left due to the price being hundred more for a couple. There are a lot more military guys climbing at the climbing place since the price is much lower also.\r Pros: Lots of useless grips Cons: even the people that climb here don't like how the gym is more

Best indoor gym in Fayetteville 7/19/2009

I just got back from this gym, and yet another day of great climbing. I've been a member for a little over 2 years now and I still love this place. I've read a couple of the other negative reviews and I think they are a little exaggerated . The gym does not have A/C, and it does get a little hot, but they open up the bay doors to get a good amount of air flow going threw the climbing side. The routes are great, with pleanty of choices and top rope stations, not to mention a HUGE boldering wall. Overall this facility is great, with a really cool staff and unique atmosphere. Pros: size, routes, and gym atmosphere Cons: no A/C more

Redpoint or deadpoint 7/15/2009

Tied to climb in the gym and it was so hot I was soaked. Not worth getting a membership if I have to pay to climb in a hot sauna.\r \r Both gyms in Fayetteville do not have A/C\r \r I am paying for a place to train not sweat so much.\r \r Not worth it to me I'll build my own home wall.\r \r I am used to climbing in wellmanaged gyms that are cool in the summer and just warm enough to climb in the winter.\r \r I do not recommend Redpoint or the other gym for climbing unless it is fall or winter.\r \r Pros: very little Cons: very hot in the summer more

Redpoint 6/25/2009

The routes are set by staff the have no ideal what they are doing. Some of the most ridiculous routes I have ever seen. The boulder wall is so cluttered with routes it's a mess. Half the tape is missing and ratings are so far off. The top rope routes are just as stupid. I agree that there needs to be more lead routes in the gym. there is no airconditioning in the gym so it is too hot to even enjoy yourself. There are a few rope routes set by someone that are good to climb. The routes set by GI are stupid Cons: Too Hot more

Poor quality climbing routes 2/3/2009

I was in the gym last week and the routes are just plain stupid. No feet, unrealistic, poorly rated, just bad. Heather has young kids that do not climb outside setting routes. The top rope/lead routes are even worse. Where did the focus of this gym go??????? She needs to put in more bolts for lead routes. She better get with it because rumor is the owner of the windtunnel is going to build a big climbing gym next to the tunnel. It will be as tall as the tunnel!!\r \r I hope sooooooooooo\r \r Cons: everything more

Price increase? Why? I do not see any improvements to justify the increase? 1/27/2009

Price has increased but routes are very unrealistic. The gym has non-experienced climbers setting routes. The gym started out great but is at the same level as the old Climbing Place gym. ?The climbing gym has lost focus? Climbers want to climb good quality routes that are changeling and are rated correctly. I would recommend to the staff to clean it up, set proper routes with feet. Don?t let climbers set routes that never climb outside. \r \r The bouldering area is so cluttered with routes its hard to know what route you are on. \r \r Have less routes in the bouldering area. This will make replacing routes much eaiser. It's hard to climb a route when there are three routes with the same color tape???\r \r I over heard the owner state that people do not come here for routes???????\r \r What?\r Pros: climbing space Cons: routes are unrealistic more

Best Indoor Climbing this side of the Mississippi! 4/21/2008

Go here if you want to climb stronger. The very best training ground if you can't get outside and the staff are killer cool! Plus, it's like a hidden Fayetteville treasure...which means I'm not sure I should be posting this review about it....but the better the place does, the more improvements they make, so come climb here! Good learning environment for new climbers too. Pros: Staff, walls, holds, the entire facility... Cons: Absolutely None. more

Fun for everyone! 4/4/2008

We visited as a group and had the best time, even those of us who where spectators! A great place to hang out for good wholesome fun and exercise. The staff is extremely helpful and supportive. We look forward to many visits to come with lots of our friends. Pros: A fun and new challenge for participants and spectators Cons: More food and snack options? more

Best Climbing Gym 7/13/2007

Redpoint is an awesome climbing gym, friendly and helpful staff, lots of challenging routes, lots of climbing areas (including top-out bouldering, top roping and lead climbing!), fun classes (including a kids team), just an overall great, fun place to clib, make friends and hang out! Pros: Clean, safe, lots of climbing areas, and Free Pizza on fridays! more
