Red Lobster

I want to give a shout out to the manager of the Red Lobster on HWY 5. Our son is in from Camp Pendleton on his pre-deployment leave and on a lunch with his new girlfriend, our waitress had twice showed an attitude, and yes they were really busy and I did take that into consideration. But there is a limit that even I will take. l will leave a very generous when there is a level of effort and respect served. This young lady just showed an obvious disregard of us sitting there for over 8 min without even taking our drink orders. I called over another young lady and bless her heart she was new. She tried and ended up getting the manager. He stepped up right to the plate and served us his self and even gave my son as many of those Awesome biscuits, and covered our lunch. Which, I did not expect or ask for. There was no hesitation or question of what happened, or how busy they were, he just stepped right up and did what he thought was the right thing to do. That, in my eyes was Quality and Assurance at its best and hard at work. I want to say that because of his hard work and efforts to salvage a difficult situation we had a very pleasurable lunch, and enjoyed getting to know my son's new girlfriend. I would recommend to anyone to go to that location. When we are in that area again, we will be back. I will even give the young lady a second chance. She did apologize by the way. I just want Douglasville Red Lobster know that i too work at a Red Lobster. I have been working there for 3 months now and couldnt ask for a better job! I live in Baytown, TX and our Red Lobster is outstanding. I just wanted to say that I appericate the hard work that you FOH,HOH,and Managment staff does because its not easy i know that first hand. but yea you might have to wait 15 minutes or so, but its worth it because yes the food is good,fresh,and your server makes a connection with all the guest and sometimes that wait was worth it. so i just want to say GO DOUGLASVILLE RED LOBSTER!!!!!!!! yall are all amazing!!! more

I've been eating at this red lobster since it opened up back around 15 yr's ago. At 1st the service was excellent and the food was always great. Here the past 2-3 yr's the service is not up to par. They are always short staffed(could be because in order to work here you must attend training all the way up in Norcross, and a lot of people can not drive an hr. for this). The place can be only 1/2 full but yet you still sit and wait 15 min's for a table, due to them being short staffed. They have an issue with keeping up with the bread on the weekends, and some of the time you won't even get any bread before your food arrives. Last time we went the lettuce was wilted. Also now when you get shrimp scampi it is so watered down vs. how it use to be strictly a garlic, butter and wine sauce. Also their melted butter is all watery looking now too. I would most definately recommend calling ahead here for seats if you go Fri or Sat. night or Sunday right after church lets out. If not even if they have tons of empty tables be prepared to wait. Pros: Plenty of parking Cons: Service, length of time waiting for a table and the recent quality of the food. more
