I went here with some friends for some apps and a few cocktails, I had 3 'Fog-Cutters"" (which I had never had before) I was literally drunk as a skunk! they hit me so fast, I didnt think that this place would make such strong drinks!! wow.. overall it was a good night. Pros: Get drunk Cons: Loud.. too small more

Rude on the phone 12/8/2008

I recently called Red Dragon for an order to go. The bartender who answered my call was horribly rude and told me to hurry up because she did not have any time to talk to me because she was too busy. I have had their food before, which is decent but the service terrible. more

great drinks, atmosphere, service 2/10/2008

This place rocks -- great neighborhood hangout, great drinks, friendly staff, large space. We showed up as a large group (about 40 of us) and were treated very well -- the staff accommodated us right away. This is the place to be on Lyndale and Franklin if you want to go out and have fun, whether you're with a large group or small. Pros: huge place, nice decor, friendly staff, good drinks more

not only the best cocktail in the twin cities but thry there food it rocks! 11/9/2007

Uptown rockers unite! this place simply kickass. I never tried there food until like 2 years ago and now i'm hooked. You would never know until you try it! All the servers there kickass and the bar keep is excellent as well, be patient says confusius!! Good things take time. I see alot of people who get winey about how it takes a few minutes to get a drink...just simma down..take a pill or something>?>? k special shouts to Sandy Kari and Pat Pros: the drinks are strong and the food kickass Cons: to many drinks can make ya loose track of?????????????????? ALL! more

Lets Get Drunk. 2/16/2007

This place is great for a happy hour. The mixed drinks will get you messed up. The food is pretty good as well. It is recomended you have some after a few drinks. Pros: Good Drinks more

Ummm... 12/28/2006

Good selection on the juke box, but they don't have Red BuII or anything close, which makes it impossible for them to make a Jaeg Bomb! I actually walked across the street to Super America and bought my own Red BuII so that they could make the shot. Lame! Pros: Juke Box Cons: No Red BuII! more

great atmosphere, rude service. 11/14/2006

The big bowl-of-punch is one-of-a-kind, but beware: don't try to order from the bar, even if you're server takes 2 hours to get to your table, or you'll be booted out. more

had a great time 12/17/2005

Went here the first time the other night. It was great! Get one of the specialty drinks, one of them will and you might not be able to drive home. Appetizers were great and everything is so cheap. I loved it. Pros: drinks , food, atmosphere Cons: crowded more

Back to my youth 8/7/2005

As someone who used to enjoy the old Downtown NAnkin, I was thrilled to hear that their old head chef has been at The Red Dragon for many years. We ate there recently and were not disappointed. The eggrolls were crisp and not greasy, the serveice was very friendly and the Cooked to order chicken Chow Mein included nice size slices of chicken and fresh vegetables. Not the best atmosphere but the taste brings me back to my youth more

HORRIBLE! 7/20/2005

Our waitress was very, very rude. She sighed and rolled her eyes at us when she asked us for our order. She then accused one of our group of showing his id to her with too much attitude. Whatever that means. She then proceeded to insult as and swear at us and cause a scene. We ended up leaving before we got our drinks. If this review stops one person from going to this restaurant than Ive done my job! Go support a business where the people are nice to you! more

Who's going to bust through the window? 8/1/2003

Everytime I go here I expect Bruce Lee to come jumping through the window. Or maybe Chow Yun Fat will bust open a two fisted gun fight like something out of Hard Boiled. Of course nothing that dramatic has ever happened. This place has DIVE written all over it: the black bar, the bathroom grafitti, the stained glass windows. The menu is huge. The food is what you would expect. But most people come here for their ridicously strong drinks. And then they people watch. Don't expect a non-smoking section. And don't expect to drive home. Everytime I go, I always end up thinking, ""Man, I need to come here more often."" Pros: drinks, people watching, cheap Cons: smoke more

Not so Chinese Food 6/25/2003

The atmosphere lets you think this place is authentic, but a taste of their main dishes and you know there's just some caucasian burn-out cooking. The sweet and sour chicken tastes like soap and the beef tends to be chewy. The hot and sour soup is good, however, and the drinks are made well. Eat somewhere else first, then come in for a drink. The staff seems to think that they are doing you a huge favor and that they don't need to be polite to get you to return...once at closing time a waitress yelled profanities at the top of her lungs and told the crowd she hated us - I wasn't impressed and haven't returned for a late night drink since. Pros: Good Drinks, "Ambiance?", Leaving Cons: Bad Food, Terrible Food, Worst Food Ever more

I love it! 4/2/2003

This place is wonderful! I've been coming here for quite a while. The service is great...it's not the tradtional fake smiles but the servers and bartenders are real. The drinks are dirt cheap. The decor is relaxing and fun. Come to the Red Dragon! You won't be dissapointed! Pros: strong drinks, fun service Cons: smokey, crowded on weekends more

Dragon clique 1/9/2003

I would NEVER go to the dragon to meet people. I live in the neighborhood and find that it is a ""bring your own friends"" kind of place. It is fun, it has great drinks and good people watching, but people sit at their tables. In the bar, you may meet some local drunkards, but I wouldn't count on being able to take any of these home. Pros: good drinks, inexpensive, parking Cons: mediocre food, crowded, smoky more

drinks in a fishobowl.... 10/23/2002

....is what I thought the first time I was served my Wandrous punch. ""Ye gods, it's a bucket full of booze!"" Some of the mixed drinks are fondly reminiscent of college wops. Combine that with the kickin' jukebox, and you have yourself a grand ol' time! On a side note, the food is mediocre at best...your typical greasy, Americanized bastardized version of Chinese. Don't waste your time. Go for the free flowin' liquor and the wonderfully happy selection of music instead. Pros: drinks, jukebox, ambiance Cons: food more
