Red Chair Photography

I found Red Chair while searching for a photographer to shoot a calendar as a gift for my husband. I am not a model, nor have I ever done anything like this before. I am convinced that no photographer or company could have come close to the wonderful experience that Red Chair provided for me. Dimitri is so professional & Tara helped every step of the way, from start to finish. Red Chair Photography made the whole process so easy that I never had to worry about anything. Tara is very good at asking all the right questions and from the start, listened to what I wanted to achieve. Within minutes of showing up for the shoot (yes, I was a bit nervous), I immediately felt like Tara and Dimitri were long time friends. During the shoot, being able to see the pictures on the monitor was perfect - and let me say that I was in awe at how beautiful the shots were. The next step was viewing the proofs from my shoot. This was the hardest part of the whole process. Every photo that was taken was beyond beautiful. Not only did I order the calendar, but I ordered over 20 5x7 prints to put in an album. I was very nervous and hadn't slept for two days, but from the moment I walked in the door I felt right at home. The process gives you plenty of time to relax. The make-up/hair stylist is absolutely wonderful and will make you look very hot! Everyone is incredibly professional, and is totally understanding about your problems/concerns. If you're concerned about what clothing pieces together, how to look, how to pose or what jewelry to wear, they get it worked out perfectly! I was trying to achieve two different looks and they got both of them just right. I just can't say enough goods things and can't what to see my proofs or to get my final product. more

I worked with Dmitriy and Tara to create a special portrait for a special friend. They were a pleasure to work with and have a beautiful studio, state-of-the-art equipment, a great eye. I have never posed for professional photos before and they put me at ease immediately when they sat down to talk to me about who I was, why I was there and what I was looking for. They were smart to ask me to print out photos I found on the Internet that resemble what I was looking for. I helped me position my body the right ways and saw all the ways to make me look better. You don't have to be a "10" to feel like one with the help of Red Chair Photography. From the moment I was greeted at the door, I felt totally comfortable and enjoyed the fine attention and personability of the staff. We discussed many options prior to the photo session, and the direction from the staff was very professional and creative. I never thought I had the guts (or beauty) to do this, but after my outstanding experience, I can?t wait to do it again someday! I was debating for some time if I should go through with the shoot or not, and I am so happy I did. The pictures turned out amazing! I thought for sure I would feel uncomfortable, but at no point did I really feel that way. The three of them were just unbelievable, they made me feel totally comfortable. I had read about these kind of pictures on various websites, and was unsure about doing this. So I did some research and found RedChair. When I called to make my appointment, the lady was super friendly and made me very comfortable. When I got to the shoot I was a bit surprised that it was in a townhouse, but by the end of it I would have wanted nothing else, it made you feel like you were at home. The hair and make up was AWESOME! I am even using Jodi for my wedding hair and makeup! Im so happy to have meet her! I was not sure about the kind of pictures I would take and they were so helpful to make me feel comfortable and pick outfits........The prints are awesome and I cant wait to hear about my fiances reaction when he opens them on our wedding day! I love this place and cant wait to do it again......I do wish I could have got more prints, but it is a bit expensive, however well worth it! I think you can order for a year or so, so maybe Ill order more in a few months for a special occasion for my future husband! If you have any reservations, DO IT, you will not regret it! The staff at Red Chair are very professional and provided me with suggestions during my photo shoot. They make you feel comfortable in your own skin and you leave there knowing your money was well worth the investment. The place is a townhouse that offers a very cozy atmosphere. This was a fun experience and not at all what I expected. I had NEVER done anything like this and was unsure what to expect. It was professional and comfortable. The staff is so helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel good about your experience. They answer any questions that you have and are great about helping you prepare for the experience.
