Editorial review from Citysearch 11/11/2013

The closing of Red Berry's Baseball World means the closing of a door for kids to learn baseball, have fun and be good sports. Red Berry could have been Mickey Mouse at Disney World with the way the kids love him. And it isn't just the kids who learn. Parents find out that the pressure put on their children in little leagues doesn't have to exist. \r This is a sad day for Miami-area kids and their parents.\r more

Learn the true value of Baseball 3/8/2009

I worked at Red Berry's many years ago and thought to myself why would any one want to place their kid here? It was known as ""the place where kids who can't play in the Khoury League or Pony Teams"" Boy was I wrong. I played high school, college and professional baseball and was very stubborn about where a child should play. I now have my own son and was hesistant in placing him at red berry's for the simple reason that he may not get the best training out of it. I put him to play in other leagues, like everyone else does and it was a disaster. Screaming, 20 kids to a team, not organized, Winning was what it was all about. I soon made the switch to Red Berry's and I was a little skeptical about it. After his 9th season I love the atmoshere the coaches and the hard work Coach Berry puts in his program and recommend it to anyone who is begining to realize that it's not about winning but about learning to play the game and having fun at it. I had a heart attack last year and have gone through some tough times finacially, what I can't wait for is for 4 pm to roll around so I may attend my son's ballgame and enjoy a great afternoon in where I can be a kid again. Thanks Coach more

More Than Baseball...Invest in Your Child's Joy! 2/27/2009

Red Berry?s Baseball World is more than just a place to play baseball. It is one of the very few things that awaken us to a time when values mattered, when rules mattered, when consistency and stability mattered. \r \r Our son has been playing at Red Berry's for six seasons, and we would not dream of taking him anywhere else. The coaches are caring and knowledgeable, the facility is amazing, and the opportunity to meet some great friends and wonderful kids has added joy to our lives.\r \r Call them today. Get your child signed up. Go have some fun with some great people.\r \r Your son or daughter will thank you for it.\r \r \r Pros: Great staff, great facility, great values. more

Baseball heaven !! 2/24/2009

I feel extremely lucky to have found Red Berrys Baseball world. I've seen first hand how nasty the park leagues can get, with parents screaming and fighting with umpires. That does not happen at Red Berry's! The coaches love the kids and know your childs name within a few days in the program. Thier main priority is your child and thier development. All of the coaches are either currently playng or former players. Your childs team rotates coaches every game (4 fields with 2 coaches each) so they see each coach once every week and a half as a minimum. \r Coach Red Berry himself addresses the kids before every game giving them the ""Tip of the Day"" , Rewarding the ""Featured team of the day"", giving awards to the ""Players of the week"", plus he'll also throw in a quick 5 minute story that has a meaningful life lesson in it. And of course, the children sing along to the national anthem right before they ""play ball"".\r After every game, the coaches assigned to each field hold a quick award ceremony rewarding players from both teams with a ""best attitude, most improved & player of the day awards"". There award is a ""Red Berry"" patch wich all the kids proudly where on thier practice uniforms.\r I've had my son there for two years now and i dont plan on leaving any time soon. The smile on his face after every game, win or lose is a sign that i've found the right place.\r If your thinking about putting your child anywhere else, you honestly need to come one day with your child and see what the Red Berry experience is all about. You'll notice right away what i'm talking about. Pros: safety, staff, owner, parking, facility more

The best baseball experience 2/23/2009

If you want a place where the staff knows your child by name and is highly trained to work with all of their positives as well as weaknesses this is your place. It is so professional and they want your child most importantly to learn the game as well as learn teamwork and how to have fun. They give out awards everyday for positive reinforcement not only for doing well but for best attitude as well as most improved. This place is free from all negativity. No pressure just FUN!!!!! The coaches are well trained and the owner does background checks he is very involved. It is like the prep school for baseball. They learn so much because each coach takes their time with every child. The facility is well kept and clean. The parents are only allowed to cheer. No yelling from the stands. This is your childs time ...time to have fun. Pros: Your child is main priority more

Red Berry's Baseball World 2/21/2009

If you are looking for a great sports league or spring & summer camp for your child, Red Berry's Baseball World is the place to go. In Horse County, off Sunset and 125 Ave. It's a baseball instructional league, the coaches are pros or college players. Your child will learn more than just baseball. They learn how to play baseball properly, learn discipline, respect and sportsmanship, win or lose. My son started in the Fall League in Aug 2008. He enjoyed being there & couldn't wait to go back! He had his birthday there, which was the best thing I did. Parents don't have to lift a finger. They do it all. Even watch the kids. I met Coach Red and the staff prior during a Friday Ball, a must for all kids to sharpen their skills and I was shocked to see the love they have for the kids and the game. It has helped my child excel in school as it is his reward if he does good in class. My son asked to come back and I was able to get the League Ticket which is well worth it. Many may think it is too much $$ but after seeing the other parks and parent outbursts you will come to Red Berry's. You have to visit the facilities to truly understand that this is an exceptional program.\r \r Pros: boys and girls more

Best Baseball Instructional League for Boys and Girls Ages 3 1/2 to 12 2/17/2009

If you are looking for a sports league or vacation camp for your child, Red Berry's Baseball World is the best place in town. It's tucked away in Horse County right off Sunset and 125 avenue. It's a baseball instructional league where the coaches are either professional or college players. Your child will learn more than just baseball. They will learn to play baseball correctly, learn about discipline, respect and about being a great teammate and a good sport, win or lose.\r \r My son started in the summer camp program in July 2008. Not only did he enjoy being there all day, he couldn't wait to come back the next day! I knew he was in good hands when I met Coach Red and the staff. It was a great transition from summer vacation to school since he had the routine of getting up early and getting ready for camp. My son asked to come back to play in their Fall and Winter Instructional Leagues and is looking forward to Spring League and a few weeks in summer camp again.\r \r You have to visit the facilities to truly understand that this is an exceptional program. more
