Recycled Records

How awesome is a used record shop? It's like treasure hunting, recycling, and music appreciation all at once. Such good karma. Not that I have anything against digital media, but these records are already out there, a lot of them are classics that haven't been released on CD, and for the true music aficionado, even if you can't afford to buy everything you see, it's still interesting to know what's out there. This is what comes to mind while on a recent shopping trip to Recycled Records. Unlike with bookstores, it's just too overwhelming when there are a bunch of unorganized records in piles, so I appreciate the tidy organization… and there are formats here that aren't vinyl, but that's really where it's at far as this place is concerned. more

recycled records is a staple of haight st. they have tons of used records, lps, vinyls, cds, tapes, all formats of music you could ever imagine in your wildest dreams. their staff is super nice, they will bend over backwards to find whatever you want, even that really really old frank sinatra record you've always wanted. they buy, sell, trade everything you got. stop in, and pick up some records from my favorite record store. more

I just happened to see this store as I was walking with my friends. We went into the store and looked around. It was kind of stuffy in there, and the people working there were too attentive to us. However, this place has a wide selection of records. There are a bunch of old records that I have never seen before. more
