Its owner Marcia Lerner used the pieces I already had, but in new and different ways. Never, in a million years, could I have accomplished what she did in a few short hours! Before Marcia Lerner reinvented my space, the living/dining area was a muddle of confusion. Marcia turned this poorly defined and confusing mess into a foyer, office area, dining room and living room. It is stunning. She has a gift for organizing space and a color aesthetic that manages to take all the weird stuff you?ve acquired over the years and pull it all together. This is your roll up the sleeves person, fastidious, thorough, organized and considerate. She shows up like Mary Poppins with her vast bag of magic tricks. Marcia recycled my furniture, picture frames and lamps, and cleverly invented unique ways to reuse pieces. She had no issue with my limited budget, without embarrassing me. We shopped thrift stores and retail shops, she knows them all. As I write this in my new office space, there is a calmness, serenity and beauty that didn?t exist before the redesign. I have had the pleasure of seeing Marcia in action and can't tell you how impressed I am! My first review was written Dec 9, 2007. It's now Apr 22, 2009, so this is to update the genius of Redesign Works. In 2007 two areas, the den and office part of my living room, were in dire need of organization. Marcia Lerner, Redesign Works guru, did such a masterful job rearranging the furniture in the tiny den that when my niece came to visit a year later, she thought my furniture new. (It's not that my niece can't remember what my couch looks like but the genius of Marcia's rearranging the tiny room provided such a fresh look, my 10 year old sofa looked new.) For an innately messy person, the room still looks great. The desk area was maintained until recent life changes messed it up, and that's why I'm updating my 2007 review. Redesign Works ability to declutter, remove the chaos and apply calm make Marcia Lerner the room whisperer. I have a new home office and I like it. It's amazing how getting professional help in your home can make such a difference in your life. Marcia is like a genie: works magic, is fast and can make things happen that you never imagined. This is much more affordable, faster and longer lasting than therapy (retail or otherwise). Redesign Works changes your life as well as your home. Still, in 2009 as it did in 2007. I would highly recommend ReDesign Works. Marcia, the owner, completely changed the look of my place just by moving things around. My apartment looks completely different now, it is so modern and chic and I didn't have to buy anything new! The rooms even look bigger! She was a joy to work with and really understood what I needed. She also worked around my busy schedule.
