Ray's Lock & Key Service Inc

I broke a key in my doorknob and could not get into my apt so I called Rays Lock & Key... well, let me tell you, this is probably one of the worst experiences I ever had with a local business. When I called I initially spoke with a man who said I should speak with his mom because she deals with the money. Then she comes on the phone and asks me what happened, I tell her that my key is broken inside the knob, I cannot get it out and I need help so, can she give me a quote. She asked me: what door, how many locks and I told her. After 10 -15 minutes of bull poop she gives me a ""tentative"" quote of over $200. Exasperated I tell her I'm going to call around and if they have the best price I'll call her back.... this is where the fun starts. more

Just yesterday, I was asking for a quote to pop-out a coin box lock for a coin-operated dryer and he said $60.00 and to replace the box will be probably $100 to $200. I ask for a firmer $ number because basically, if you agree with that kind of quote, it is like an open checkbook and thay can charge you at $195 or to the max because you already agreed with the quote. I asked if he can work to pop it out for $60 and give me a quote once he sees the unit and he said ""no"". He said ""tell me what you want now so I know what to bring tomorrow"". more

I tried to get transonder keys programmed from this guy. I already had keys cut, so he copped an attitude because he wanted to sell me some for $80 a piece. He said I should buy his because he doesn't know if I bought the right ones with the right chips inside. Cons: Greedy, Liar more
