I was referred to this mechanic after calling one that only worked on imports. It's a small shop, and I think that Ray may be the only employee, but he provided competent and extremely prompt service. He price came in well under the quote after we decided to go with a used part, and he was friendly in all encounters. Would go to again. more

This shop runs the typical bait and switch - quoting you a low price and without warning, charging you double when you pick up your vehicle. Ray gave me an estimate of $90 for labor and refrigerant to recharge the A/C system in my car. I made an appointment for later that day and when I dropped off my car, was asked for my phone number so they could call if any additional repairs were needed. Ray called a couple hours later to tell me my car was ready, but failed to mention that my bill was double what he had quoted me. Imagine my surprise when I arrived to pickup my car and was asked to pay $178. Ray explained that freon, was an additional $40 and wasn't included in the quote he'd given me. And that he'd taken the liberty to see why my check engine light was on and cleared the code, and charged me $38 for the service I hadn't asked for. When I complained about these additional, unauthorized ""repairs"" he told me I had to pay or I wouldn't get my car back.
