Bought what was labeled as a Crabby Bull Wellington. Turned out it was not crab in it but artificial crab. This caused a serious allergic reaction for my wife who can not eat fish...

Mislabeled Food Products 1/20/2010

Bought what was labeled as a Crabby Bull Wellington. Turned out it was not crab in it but artificial crab. This caused a serious allergic reaction for my wife who can not eat fish but can eat shell fish. The manager when I called to complain blew me off. Do not trust any of the food labeling in this store. I would think that someone in the food business should be aware of food allergies. But apparently Ray's does not care. I would be very leary of buying any product from this store. more

Great Spot 9/21/2007

Love the beef jerky and pepperoni sticks. Excellent meat, seafood and chicken selections. They offer good sales and specials. \r \r Cons: I never liked their fish fry. Kind of bland, not very tasty. more

Stuffed Chicken is Great 9/8/2007

I love this place. I can't say I go to too many butcher shops so I'm not sure how it compares, but I love the stuffed chicken breast. They are big enough for 2. I found the prices reasonable for fresh quality meats. more

Geat selection 11/30/2005

This shop has a great selection of meats and cheeses. It has an old world atmosphere and it is fun to look around and shop in. The problem is the staff - they are not very healpful and don't intend to be. Their attitude is - There it is, buy it if you want. The prices are a little on the high side but the quality is fantastic. more

Good meats wide variety 10/17/2005

I have been going to Ray's for quite a while, not my first choice as Ray's is a little pricey . I do have to say that Ray's has excellent products and a knowledgeable staff. They are willing to cut the meat however you want it. They also sell beef jerky which is very good. They have a wide variety of both fresh and froozen meats , good sausage, and a deli and bakery dept. Like I said I think they are a bit pricey,but if you want a good steak and don't need a lot this is the place to go. PROS: Good fresh meats and a wide variety of choices. CONS: A bit pricey ! more

Excellent in every way. 10/13/2005

Rays Butcher Shoppe is a perfect example of top quality in business. First of all, the store is very clean and well organized The displays are neat, labeled with product name and price. There are plenty of staff to serve the customers and everyone of them is pleasant and patient as they prepare our order. Not only is there a huge selection of fresh meat, they have a big variety of frozen meats. There is a small deli department and a wonderful bakery. You can also find some produce, and other grocery items. Rays is a bit more expensive then the grocery store but the qualit is well worth the extra money. PROS: No one does it better! CONS: more

What CAN'T you find here? 7/28/2005

Well, Rays is just an outstanding place in general. They have the best cuts of meat available, and such a convenient location. The catering is AWSOME and the price just cannot be beat. They can accomodate any size, and do it with a smile! Rays Butcher Shoppe is such a great place, and such a different place in today's society. It kind of reminds you of way back when...when there were real butcher shops and not just grocery stores! Call for hours. more

Great place for many things 6/11/2005

Whether you're picking up dinner or just need to stop off to pick up a few groceries, this is a great store. My favorites is their jerky and sausages. The people are very nice, the quality can't be beat and the selection is really nice as well. They have meals already prepared or you can buy stuff to prepare yourself. more
