You obviously do not know what you are talking about if you say Rayne High is a bad school. And if you are talking about graduation year 2007; many ""white girls"" and a black girl got valedictorian and I was one of them. You should get your facts straight. The principal is very helpful. The teachers are amazing. I am now in college with a 4.0 thanks to some of the teachers at Rayne High School. This school is very prejudice, the principal is prejudice, the teachers are prejudice, and it is shown through the behavior of the staff. My daughter is a 3.7student, in BETA Club, and in the TOPS program and one of the councelors had the NERVE to give me information on her attending a technical school! I won't go into my response to that. The band director is rude and arrogant and I can't understand why. He yells at students in the bleachers during the games and he calls the flag girls out of their names infront of the crowd at games! The principal is informed and he feels that it is ok. During graduation, the Valedictorian was going to be given to a white girl with a 3.9, when it should have been iven to a black girl with a 4.0 until the parents threaten legal actions against the school. Also, the school just recent went to one King and one Queen for Homecoming. They use to have a Black and White King and Queen. How obsurd in the time we are in.
