I've always had a great experience here. The staff are friendly and professional, always greeting me by name and calling me the day before to confirm my appointment, which is very helpful. The facilities and clean and the haircuts and styling are top rate. Ravissant is by far the best place I've found in Southern California to get a haircut since I moved here back in the mid-80's. Both my wife and I go here because they do an excellent job on both men and women's hair. more

What a great find. This salon was found by a friend of mine who is doing some modeling work and has to keep her hair looking great. She called me after her first time there and insisted that I try it out. Honestly, I had given up looking for a great cut at a decent price but was pleasantly surprised by the job my stylist, Keya, did. He has cut may hair ever since and no one has ever done as great a job as he does everytime I am there. more

i saw Ravissant's ad in the newspaper..I called for the appt and had it with selene...She changed my long lock brunette to a short blond bob...it was the best cut and color i have ever had....i was so happy and so in love with my hair....After the cut, she also showed me how to style my hair differently...and i just love it...I highly recommend Selene and Ravissant to all....love the environment too..... I just recently went to Ravissant. I just got referred from my colleagues. The receptionist put me with Gilbert. We had good conversations and the result came out fantastic. I love the hair cut and the layers that he gave to my hair.. The other thing that i really enjoyed and impressed was the way that he pampered my hair. It felt so great. Besides that i also like the environment and the salon. I'm from out of town. I came to visit my family from San Francisco for the holiday. I was bored and got nothing to do. So I searched online and found Ravissant Salon. I called and made the appt on the same day. I was greatly greeted when I first arrived. I got the female hair stylist. After a short consultation period, She put the color and the next thing I knew, she started to cut my hair. The result came out unbelievable. I LOVED IT. I've never had a short and chic hair do like this before. It made me look dazzling. My mom couldn't even recognize me. She loved my hair. I was-and Am happy with the hair cut as well as the services. I highly recommended this salon for everyone to try out. This salon could bring out the new look on me. It could do the same thing on others. So go for it. Don't delay. I have lived in Pasadena for a very long time and visited Ravissant some time ago, but just recently a friend of mine told me to visit Yvonne who is specialist in color. Yvonne, was not only an excellent colorist and gave me the blond locks of my dreams, but she was also a very personable person who cared about my hair condition! What a concept! She apparently does fashion shows for LA fashion week and different kinds photo shoots. She is a very innovative and creative individual. I will definitely be seeing her again soon! I'm a business woman. I travel very often therefore I need the style that looks professional and also doesnot take lot of time to style. I went to many salons and I tried some of the well known stylists in town. Unfortunately, I still didnot have the hair style that i desired. My friend comes to Ravissant and she recommended Tammy. I hesitated to come at first. After seeing my friend's last haircut, I decided to go for Tammy. She's very friendly and professionally. After telling her my needs and frustrations, Tammy seemed to understand my situation. Then She smiled and got me ready. I just sat on the chair and let's her do the work. After one hour, She said, "" This is THE hair style that i design for your need."" I was stunt and ""WOW"" was the only word that i could start with. I love the style. It was so me. I LOVED my hair. I went out for dinner that night, all I heard were the compliments of how good my hair was and how it fit me well. Then I thought to myself,"" I've found the hairstylist that i have longed for quite sometimes"". I'll definitely be back to have my cut and color done with Tammy from now on becauce she has my TRUST. All I can say now is ""Thank You for The hair, Tammy."" Therefore I decided to share my experience so that whoever find themselve in my situation don't hesitate to come to Ravissant and find themselve THE stylist that could bring out their needs and desires. Marlene does excellent eyebrow waxing and skin treatments. I have been going to her for a year and gotten perfect eyebrows every time. She has cleared up and improved my skin via glycolic treatments and instructions on home care and has given me better results than I have ever had with a dermatologist. Mavis does great nails and uses 100% sanitary procedures and new tools. I have gone to Gil for cut and color and am very happy with the results. All three are very nice, considerate, fun, and worth the $$. more

i have search for years for the right hair stylist. i'm very picky when it comes to hair. i used to go to this salon 10 years ago. i messed up my hair. i read on the paper and said they change the owner so i try the place once more time. this time, the stylist blew me off. She did a good job on my hair. she gave great texture and proper care for my hair. Good attitude. I liked the hair and had good compliment about it. They had good service and good environment. You'd think a hair cut would be simple, but not in this place. They start out by ignoring you and then proceed to completely muck up your hair without giving any apologies. They annoying chatter constantly going on in this place makes it double the torture. more

Ravissant is right in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, next to many excellent eateries. I got my hair styled for the right price ($65), and thought about getting some spa work too!! But, the atmosphere and movement was just right. Not too fast, no too dull. And the place is right next to some wonderful Indian Food. My stylist did the right stuff to my hair, not the same old bargain cut, but a real suave looking cut. He then added some gel to make it shine. I was taken aback by the prices at first. $65 for a haircut seemed a little high, but when the experience was over, i didn't regret spending one penny. The overall appearance of the salon was beautiful. It was super clean (which is very important) and trendy. Their stylists were young and hip to to conteporary cuts, as well as friendly! I felt very welcomed as soon as I walked through the doors and was greeted with smiles by the people at the front desk. I felt very comfortable with the stylist while he was cutting my hair. He was very helpful ""post service"", as he gave me tips on how to style my hair and even sent me off with samples of styling products! Now, it may be just me, but when a stylist goes that far, they've done an adequate job and definately earned that $65. more

I'm not so sure about the hair stylists at Ravissant, but I do know about Marlene! She does waxing and facials in the upper rooms. I always have PERFECT brows, perfectly arched! She's pricy, but after going to other people who have screwed up my brows completely, I would rather pay to have them done the right way, the first time.
