Went last ight to see Pirates... Awesome theatre! The staff was friendly and the theatre was clean and well-maintained. I've never been to a theatre where I could get dinner and drinks - GREAT IDEA! The lobby looks like a casino, with its high ceilings and all the food offerings. LOVE IT! more

Why does everything have to cost so much. One order of fries is 5.00. I could keep going but I won't. I'm sure everybody who's been knows what I am talking about. I very rarely go because of the prices I have 2 kids and I also bring other kids with me sometimes that is just too much money. Drop the prices you may get more business. More business more money! Pros: MOVIE THEATER GREAT! FOOD IS GREAT! Cons: COST TOO MUCH more

I've got to say this is definetly the cleaniest and most friendly theatre I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot. I'm a military service member and I've been all over the country and on average I spend close to $100 a month at the movies. And not many theatres have military discounts any more but Cinema De Lux 16 does and trust me when you go to see as many movies as i do a month its worth it. The staff is always friendly and knoweledgeable. And any time I have a problem they are quick to fix it. I would reccomend this theatre to anyone. Keep up the good work CINEMA DE LUX STAFF ! Ok. Here is the deal. I work at Showcase 16, and have for about a year. I know things about the theatre that the average walk in patron wouldn't. As for the lady who said that there was nobody there when she went to go see Iron Man at 10:00, that movie lasts 2h & 20m. She and her family left at about 12:20 if not later, and it was on a Wednesday night. We close on weekdays around 10:30 to 11ish, and when she left there were no staffers to be found because most of them (with the exclusion of one Usher) were all gone. And he was off doing night work, such as cleaning, sweeping, etc. The Ushers arent allowed to do anything if they dont directly see the ""thugs"" doing something, we can get in trouble if we do. We only have security on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights because those are our busiest times. As for the consession stand being slow, you have to understand the quantity of peoples orders. If you order 4 or 5 things of course one person isnt gunna get it to you at lightening speed, but we try to get it to you as fast as we can without messing up your order. For the woman who said that an Usher ased for her ticket, he was probably trying to look at your seat for the director's hall like another said. It sounds to me like all you wanted was a free ticket and you didnt get one that's why you dont want to go back. I love the theatre not just because i work there but because i know that it is a great movie theatre with great food. Chatters is especially delicious and the theatre itsself is just a lot more clean than some of the other movie theatres that you may find out there. I was just trying to clear some things up for the negative reviews about this place because i know how hard the employees work to try and get people to come back and enjoy their stay. It's a nice cleaned up place with lots of kind faces and good prices there not too high. They have good food too there is only one waiter who isn't very fast but he's nice so he makes up for it in the long run. This is the only place i would go to see a movie. It has nice service too. Pros: Comfy undisturbed atmosphere with a nice feeling when you walk in. Cons: Sometimes you have to wait but it's all good because the resturant Chatters is a great place with yummy food. more

Ok, Wednesday evening at the 10:ish showing of IronMan we were in the back row of theater 11 and some young men came in and sat down right in front of us (there were only a handful of people in the theatre at that time) right when the previews started someone kept coming into the theatre and moaning and screaming and running off my husband got up and looked over the balcony to see who kept doing this it had happed several times (I had two young kids with us 9 - 12 years old) the last time the moaning and screaming yes, yes, yes stopped two young men came in laughing loudly and making a lot of noises sat down with the other young men in front of us (oh when they walked in front of us one of the young men raised his hands in the air and waved them so we couldn't see the screen) I got up and went out to the front desk and told them what was going on (I missed the beginning of the movie because of these thugs) they sent this kid in who was about 5"" and 93 pounds to take care of six young men (16 to 19 years of age) and this young kid did nothing he came in stood at the bottom entrance and walked out. During the entire movie they texted people, they talked on their cell phones, they received phone calls and they screamed out sexual comments during the movie. My husband then went out and still nothing is done about it. When the movie was over and they had ruined the entire movie for us, they were standing where the concessions were and my kids were very afraid, but I wasn't I knew I had a cell phone to call 911 and I had my husband with us. We proceeded to go out to the parking lot and we were parked on the left and they on the right when we got to our car they started screaming stuff and riding in their suburban really fast and doing doughnuts in the parking lot. You wonder why we didn't say anything to any of the workers when we came out of the movie - well there was no one to be found (no workers, and no security at all. $50.00 + down the drain. Pros: The theatre was very comfortable Cons: The popcorn was stale and they did nothing for our safety!!!! I did not feel safe at this Theatre. more

This movie theater is my favourite movie theater in Louisville (excluding independently owned ones like Baxter Avenue). It tends to be the most consistently clean theater, as well as having the most number of employees who are friendly. The only complaint I have on a regular basis is how slow the people working at the concession stand tend to be. They aren't all slow, but a lot of them are. I had a bad experience tonite. I took my son to the movies. We saw the movie 21. It was great. We spent $10.00 in games bought drinks and candy. All together it was about a $50.00 night. The Movie was great! It is a sunday so it was rather slow. At the end of the movie we started to leave and the guys that sat us at the begining of the movie walked up and asked for our ticket. This made me feel we had done something wrong. Nothing was ever explained. I was not happy about how i was approched! I was so upset I talked to the staff to understand why this had happend. They did explain but the memory I left with was that I had done something wrong. They in no way tried to make the situation better. I am left bitter! I will not go back. However I would have if they would have made me feel welcome back with a free ticket. more

This is a great movie theater. It has two entrences...one in front one in back, so there is always a place to park. It has a pizza place, candy corner, a piano that plays by itself, a arcade room, and a grill/bar. They have excellent service and great food. I've never had a problem at this theater. They also have 16 different rooms, 8 of which are director's hall, meaning they have leather reclining seats, that's the only REAL difference. They all have stadium seating and great views. Overall it's a great place to go to see movies. Pros: Great service. Cons: Weekends it's packed. more
