This is one of the best values in the Southbury area. We started going to the Rathskeller 4 years ago after new owners upgraded it. The food is first class- excellent in fact. I'd not have expected to find entrees of this quality hidden at the back side of an office building. Atmosphere is very friendly and the wait staff is attentive, friendly. more

Great menu! 5/10/2006

We stumbled upon the Rathskeller after living in Southbury for over 5 years. It is in a basement but very clean and well lit. The food was nothing short of excellent and fresh! My chopped salad was outstanding and my wife's pear salad with crumbled gorgonzola was terrific. The menu has a very wide variety of classic American type foods. We will definetly be back! more

Great Bar for old-timers 4/14/2006

The Rathskeller Lounge has been open for years in Southbury and is one of the few places in town to go to for pub grub and something to drink. It's a bit of a dive- located in the back of a shopping center it is hard to find and attracts the crowd that already knows it's there. Here is where locals feel comfortable going for their afterwork martini and so forth. A little musty, but alright. more
