In February 2006 I went to Rat-A-Tac-Tat and met with Russ the Tattoo artist. After I conveyed what my concept was verbally he started drawing on a piece of paper, there it was, my thoughts and feelings on paper.
Recently this artwork was featured in in a photograph in the Tampa Tribune in the Metro Section 09/12/06.

TAMPA - Mark Kijas wears a gold cross designed to resemble pieces of the World Trade Center. On his right forearm is a tattoo of the flaming Twin Towers, an American flag and an eagle rising from the smoke. "The firefighters say you wear your heart on your sleeve," he said.
Russ did a fabulous job and I have had many, especially after seeing the article, come and ask to see my tattoo and in some cases they have asked me to autograph the photo. What greater compliment can an artist recieve, point in fact, when he completed the artwork I asked him to sign it - though resistant he obliged me.
Another volunteer at WTC just saw my tattoo and will be contacting Russ as he was impressed as well.
Go to Rat-A-Tac-Tat and see Russ - you won't be disappointed.
Thanks Brother!
