Worst Take Out Ever 3/1/2009

We live in the area and order take out from Thai House on a regular basis. Due to the inclement weather, Thai House closed early this evening and Rasa Sayang had left a menu at my office so we decided to try them. I ordered the Malay Mee Goreng and my boyfriend, who is chef, ordered the Rasa Sayang Kari. I have to say, this was one of the worst meals either of us had ever had and we will not order from Rasa Sayang again. I am amazed that the menu states that they have been awarded best Asian cuisine for 10 years. Thai House food quality and taste is much better, is also in the same neighborhood in Roswell and they deliver as well. Cons: poor quality and taste more

New Favorite Restaurant 10/18/2008

Absolutely delicious! Never had Malaysian food before, but you must try it. I can't remember the name of the dish, but I did have a Chicken Curry Dish with Okra, tomato and onions...incredible flavor. My wife had what she calls the best walnut shrimp she's ever had, and the lettuce wraps should put PF Chang's out of business, as they are the best I've ever tasted. Service was awesome, as I do believe the owners were taking care of us. I eat out multiple times every week, and this is by far my favorite restaurant in metro-Atlanta. Pros: taste, decor, parking, service, atmosphere, everything! Cons: none! more

Very nice surprise 9/28/2008

It was our son's birthday last week; he goes to GAtech and we met him at NorthSprings this evening. I looked up the internet and found Rasa Sayang - we did not expect too much but the reviews were very positive. I will tell you what: we were very impressed with the quality of the food. Service was excellent - ambiance was great and we will be back for sure. more

Awesome Malaysian food, even better service, and great ambience. 4/22/2008

This is my first time writing a Cityseach review, but I really felt compelled to, after experiencing Rasa Sayang. I was in a bit of an adventurous mood on Sunday and decided to try out this Malay restaurant. Now, granted, I am of Vietnamese origin, so I am accustomed to eating Southeast Asian food. So I suppose it was not too bizarre for me to try the food. But regardless, it was excellent. I count Vietnamese and Thai as my favorite Southeast Asian cuisines, and and now Malaysian is part of the list. I had the Rendang Lembu, which is a ""dry curry beef stew."" Let me just say that it was absolutely divine. Since I do not eat huge portions (part of that New Year's Resolution and whole ""lifestyle change"" thing), I had a little less than half the beef with the given rice order and took home the rest. Well, I am on my second dinner with my leftover (we've always got jasmine rice cooking here) and it is just about as delicious as the first night. Go and try this Holcomb Bridge treasure. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you try a Malay dish, rather than Thai or Chinese (although, according to my family members who dined with me that fateful night, the Thai and Chinese dishes are great too). Pros: Ambience, Parking, Customer Service, Food Cons: NONE!! more

""One of the very best meals meals we have ever eaten."" 8/24/2006

We celebrated my wife's birthday with two other couples at Rasa Sayang. One of our guests stated it was one of the very best meals she had ever eaten. The others agreed. All the dishes were excellent, but my personal favorites were: Kung Pao Grouper, Green Curry Shrimp and Garlic Spinach. Pros: Food is to die for more

Highly recommended!! 6/2/2006

This is just a hole in the wall in a well hidden strip mall. But the food is outstanding. I've been to this place dozens of time and never had a bad meal. Like another reviewer said, you can just tell them to bring you something and you definitely won't be disappointed. The ambiance isn't the greatest, but the food certainly makes up for it. My favorite is the KL Curry Mee.... Pros: great food, good service, very good value Cons: cramped more

Best Malaysian Food 7/14/2005

The food in this restaurant is great! I don't go often, it's a bit of a ride for me, but it is worth the ride. My co-workers & I just had some of their food today (they deliver) and it was consistently excellent. I discovered the restaurant 7 years ago and have not ever been disappointed. It's not the roomiest of places, but the food & service make up for it. Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE Cons: space more

Great food above expectation 10/5/2002

This little out of the way place is worth the stop. I have been in Atlanta for a few years and this is the best curry I've ever had. The food is authentic and made to order. Try the appetizer combo for a taste of everything. Atmosphere is humble but adequate - - the food makes it worth the trip. Pros: great food, parking, good value Cons: humble atmosphere more
