Good Things 6/19/2013

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience here when I got my car serviced. I wasn't sure how it was gonna go, but Mark- the manager in the office was very friendly & pleasant to me. He took the time to explained what the problem was in a way I could understand (not knowing much about cars), & informed me of the pricing in detail. The mechanic was just as friendly, & I felt dud an excellent job. I have waited a couple weeks to write this review, to see how everything held up, & my car has never run better! I recommend this place to everyone. more

I had a great experience at the Rapid Transmission shop in La Mesa. I was experiencing a shifting problem in my Maxima. The shop I usually use told me that they do not work on transmissions and they recommended taking it to Rapid. When I arrived I spoke to the manager, Mark Saxton. He told me that they would need a few hours to diagnose the problem and even arranged a ride to work for me. The next time I spoke with Mark, he informed me that they diagnosed the problem. He explained the issue in a way that I could understand, which I appreciated. He told me it could be repaired in a day or 2. I was happy about that because I had no other way to get to work. My car was back to me within the time frame that Mark had stated and after 2 weeks it is still running and shifting well. The price was reasonable and the service was great. more

Well, so far so good. I have been taking my cars and trucks (fleet) here for several years. I have had complete rebuilds and just plain servicing done. They seem to be pretty honest because when I bring a truck in (several times) stating that I tow VERY heavy loads and want the trans checked out and serviced, they have never said that it needs anything other than a regular service. Then when I started having noticeable problems, they found some metal in the bottom of the pan and suggested a rebuild. They got it done quickly so I didn't have to miss my desert trip! Thanks more

These guys made good on their word and warranty without question or hesitation. Great customer service from Gary and team at Convoy st. A year ago Rapid T rebuilt my transmission that Poway Honda had said they rebuilt 8 months earlier - but turned out Honda dealer didn't do what they said and wouldn't cover it... came back again 1 year later to Rapid T with problems again and they took care of it completely putting me in right away and getting it back rebuilt again in couple days. They stand by the work they do. Thanks.\r more

He worked with the company who had originally replaced my transmission and then fixed everything so quickly that I was able to pick up my van that evening! When does that happen?? Had my transmission overhauled and, other than a bit of a delay, everything worked out great. Communication with the customer (as to what exactly is going on) could be improved, but they know what their doing and I trust their opinions more

Mark Saxton was very kind. He really calmed me down. I was sooo stressed because of the possible additional financial burden. Mark even said that because it had been built and installed less than 48 hours earlier, he did everything for FREE!! Because he's a member of ATRA I trusted him. It's a good thing I did. more
