For the degree I'm studying for part-time, I've been putting off the science courses, I'm more of a creative type and while math was easy enough for me to scrap a passing grade, the organic chemistry course I signed up for wasn't looking to be so easy.\r

I looked around online for a while before finding Rapid Learning Center's Organic Chemistry tutorial - it's a series of 24 lessons, broken into 1 hour tutorials with core concepts, practice drills, and a review session at the end of each lesson. Though the voice over was a little dry (not the kind of thing I need when I'm tired), the courses were well drafted, easy to follow - even for me, and have come in handy.\r

Since I was feeling fairly confident after taking these courses and meeting with a few other students who have taken the Organic Chemistry class I was about to head into, I asked the instructor if I had the option of testing out of the class - he said normally for that course he doesn't allow it, but what he was willing to do was let me take the mid-term and the final in 2 different sittings, and he gave me the combined grade for the two - saving me a lot of classroom hours and helping me move onto the next course I need to take. I got a good grade and didn't have to sit through several weeks of lectures.\r

I know that learning comes different to a lot of people, but if you learn well on your own and are disciplined enough to go through the course (I did it twice, the second time as a refresher and review) the system by Rapid Learning Center works very, very well. It was worth the time and the money, considering what it has saved me in time.
