I will echo other reviews on the front of GREAT SERVICE & HIGH COST. Service-wise, this company works like a welloiled machine: email notifications techs are coming & background on personnel showing , kind office folks to answer questions. They have to pay for that. RICHARD SHOWED ON TIME, WAS CLEARLY COMPETENT & RESPECTFUL OF MY HOME & ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. He changed out 2 ceiling boxes for fan-rated ones. He put the fixtures back on as I'll install fans at a later date. In the case of one box, he noted the romex looked discolored&attributed it to an overloaded circuit that wasn't tripping. My wife used a blow dryer & iron on our bedroom circuit while work was going on in the bathroom. His assessment was our wattage exceeded the 15amp breaker of 1800 watts with hair dryer alone max out at 1875. Recommended an AFCI breaker to replace the 30 y-old breaker that probably is failing. Randy's up front pricing is a blessing&a curse here. $140 for a new breaker&I think that would include an AFCI. The prudent person would replace all breakers on my 30 year old panel which I plan to do. For a full switchout it's still about $90 per breaker, or with 26 in my box a roughly $2,300 proposal. For perspective-I paid $2k to have a complete panel replaced at my old house from 60amp to 100. The square D q 15amp AFCI was $37 at HomeDepot&I anticipate it to take me an hour-non AFCIs are about $8 at the store too. Certainly for an experience electrician&barring no issues could do one in 15 minutes or less. With all respect to the craft&seriousness of messing with a panel, it’s hard for me to reconcile the operation of switching out breakers&their costs. I will get other bids&update this accordingly. BOTTOM Line: RICH IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL. However USE A GROUPON. My value was good by doing so but hard to justify future work if I didnt, especially after seeing all the other “high cost” reviews. LIKE ANY CONTRACT, GET MULTIPLE BIDS, SEEK REVIEWS,&MAKE YOUR JUDGEMENT ACCORDINGLY. 4 star only because of implied cost w/o groupon.
