Shorted bark deliveries twice- do not order dishonest company\r
\r
Over fifteen years ago, I had ordered from Purdy topsoil and they shorted my order of beauty bark and rocks and I refused to order any more from them. Because another company I used in Tacoma does not deliver to my rental home area any more, I thought I would try to order from Purdy topsoil again, hoping they had changed their practice of shorting orders. \r

I ordered 15 yards of bark from Purdy Topsoil to freshen the existing bark cover and I was delivered about 10 yards. Their truck was about half full and they had told me their truck carries 20 yards. The shortage was verified by my worker, tenant and husband. When I called about the shortage, they insisted it was 15 yards and refused to deliver the shortage. Since I have always ordered 15 yards every 3 years from the other company and another company in Tacoma over the last 24 years for this house and another home previously, I knew Purdy's delivery amount was short. There should have been enough bark to cover the yard and still have another 5 yards for future use which I usually stored on the side of the house. There was no extra bark left. They knew I was from out of town and did not have time to wait until Weights and Measure dept person came to measure their delivery.\r

Avoid this company like the plague as they are dishonest and basically charged over $35 per yard of bark plus tax.\r
