Randall's Food Market

I have been shopping at this store for over five years and drive from Dripping Springs just because I like them so much. Hands down, the best quality of meat in my area...and always huge sales which allows me to stock my freezer. Rancher's Reserve is the store's brand name..amazing. It is not super crowded during the day...very relaxing and the staff are so helpful and nice. I am practical and do not shop at high-end grocery stores...Central Market, etc. If you are a ""frugal"" like me, this is the place to stock up on meat. Produce is a little expensive..but there are always sales and great deals. more

On a Monday i came into the meat market to see the butcher. I made arrangements to have some sashimi cut salmon and tuna on their next shipment since none was available. I left my number and order and saw the gentlemen write it down. I was told that i was going to receive a call on Thursday. I did not receive this call, and when i came in on Friday, someone else was there and wasn't even aware of this. I asked if i could talk to anyone about this, and he said the manager left for the day, and he didn't offer to speak to the supervisor or anyone. This is sub par service after my follow up, and their flake on my order is not appreciated. more

If you have a choice in Pharmacy's don't choose this one if you are wanting the convience of a driveup window. Unfortunately I am forced to use their pharmacy because of my insurance carrier, 85% of the time I arrive at the driveup to find a note explaining it is out of order. I understand that things break but this is a consistent problem and it doesn't seem to be a priorty to fix it. There is a walgreens and a cvs just out of the parking lot and I have never had to go in when picking up prescriptions because of equipment failure. Perhaps some of the money spent remodeling should have gone to fixing things that were broke. more

Let me preface this by saying that grocery shopping is very low on my list of enjoyable activities.\r Today I received a flyer stating that whole chickens were on sale for $0.59/lb and pork loin chops of $1.49/lb. I trudge through the whole store, gathering up my items, saving the meat for last so that it would stay cold. I found the chops on sale as stated in the flyer, but the chickens had not been marked down yet. I asked the butcher about this, and he said the sale didn't start until tomorrow. When I pointed out that the chops were already marked down, he told me that they wouldn't ring up at the lower price. I asked a manager if I could get the chickens at the sale price, and he refused my request. \r \r I was so angry, I left the store without any of my items. This is the only store I've shopped at for the past fifteen years, so the people know me here. Apparently they don't care about keeping their customers happy. more
