Craig Rand, DDS of Brewer, Maine is one of the best dentists I have gone to in a long time. Like most people I can't stand to go to the dentist, I'm actually petrified of them. However, Dr. Rand and his staff make you feel like you've been a friend forever there. You are always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile.
The hygienists at his offer are all very professional and friendly. They make me feel very conformable and are attentive to my needs. I am always amazed that they remember who you are and ask about the kids, vacation, etc.
We also take the kids to see him and they love it there. They get stickers, toothbrushes and floss with every visit and for younger kids that is very exciting. I was a little nervous how my youngest would act with his first visit (age 3), but they let him interact and "help" which helped him feel more at ease. When I tell my kids they have a dentist appointment I don't hear any moans or groans like when we were kids.
I guess I would say that the cost is moderately expensive, but that is only because we do not have any dental insurance and an average visit runs around $100. But our family goes every 6 months to keep our teeth and gums as healthy as can be.
I highly recommend Dr. Rand and his staff for all ages.
