Rancho Smog

Do not go here if you have an RV. we have taken ours there 4 times and it still hasn't been done. The first time my husband took it it did not pass smog, although it passed the ""visual"" inspection. When my husband was under neath it fixing somethig he noted that the catlitic converter was not even connected. He re-connect it and took it back for the ""free r-check"". they said it would be a couple of hours. he went back over well after 3 hours had passed and was told they didn't get to it, the tech didn't know how to do the RV, but bring it back again. It had been running the whole time and used up most of the gas. more

There were lots of customers, which I feel is a good sign, but they were very polite and professional and got me out in just over an hour. I handed them the coupon I printed from their website and they happily accepted it without trying to add any additional fees. more

I went and got tested by Rancho Smog today and the fellas who work there are polite and straightforward. With a coupon I only paid 38 bucks for my test. I failed because I forgot that I needed my dipstick fixed and I went and ahead and got that done within the next hour. Came back, got the free retest, bam, passed. The guys are quick, efficient, and even if it does get busy you won't be there for more than 20 minutes. If you read complaints they simply are coming from those who drive large vehicles and everyone knows the larger the ride, the more complex things may get. I also find it humorous that there's someone complaining about having to have paid $49 with coupon, and calling these guys a rip off. Everywhere else will charge you 55-60 bucks even if you were to bring in their respective coupons. For those that have a hard time finding a coupon for Rancho Smog just google one and print it out or look in the Penny Saver. more

Rancho smog has speedy service, I never would have expected to get my vehicle serviced and back on the road in 20 minutes. I came into this experience expecting to be waiting atleast an hour having a car ahead of me, but they got me in and finished in record time. The staff was very polite and proffesional. The counterperson was a delight. He was very mannered always saying ""yes maam"" and helping me understand everything along the way as well as putting me at ease through the test. It helps that my car passed but I realy do recommend Rancho Smog if you want it done speedy and right. I wont go anywhere else. more

Coupons you see say $29.95 + 8.95 for cert but do NOT be fooled. They will also find a way to charge you an extra $10 dollars for no given reason or they will make an excuse so look at paying at least $49 which is different from their advertisement. It is also interesting that smog checks are done the same way and take the same time for all cars but they want to charge you extra for having a truck or van. It does not matter the smog test is the same. Pros: Small business, not too busy Cons: Misleading advertisement more

it was a good experiance i got a great deal using my coupon that i got from the penny saver their service was promp and courteous i was in and out in like ten minutes and the great news is that my car passed its inspection so that was great plus i would recommend this business to anybody who needs their smog check done fast and right Pros: easy to find fast service good customer care Cons: price is a little high without coupon more
