Rancho Santa Fe

This restaurant has great food and entertainment no doubt about it. Being local i have gone there on several occasions, and unfortunately on all those occcasions i was overcharged on my credit card. I usually don't check my bank account for overcharges, the only reason i checked was because on one of the occasions my mother payed the bill and she tends to check her account daily. She noticed she was double charged on her card. When she called they said they were sorry and blamed it on her bank, either way 4 days later she was credited. After that happening we went there 3 more times and every single time we were doubled charged. I spoke to one of the owners and he blamed it on the bank, and then he said it was their system, that charged double automatically. He had no straigh answer, luckily this time i had saved all my receipts and demanded my refund. My friends and family go there so i warned them and they too had that problem. So if you go make sure you pay CASH, otherwise be ready to pay double!!!!!! more

My husband and I LOVE this place! This is our spot for date night, great Margarita's , good food,welcoming staff and a respectable crowd. This is our FAVORITE local spot! I've even hosted events here and have always been pleased with the service. Its Bolingbrook's wonderful little gem! We've always felt welcome here among the largely hispanic crowd and appreciate the quality of food and service. Its ALWAYS clean, FUN and very well maintained. Mexican cuisine at it's best more

This place is great. If you are looking for a nice romantic dinner you go before 9pm. and if you are looking to have cocktails and dance the night away you come after 9pm. As far as what I would rate the food, I would have to say that the plates are big portions, but the food is really good. The service is great; you can tell that each employee takes a lot of time to make sure that you are well taken care of. You can tell that the staff likes to be there. Night life there is great too; they have a variety of music (i.e. merengue, cumbia, bachata, salsa and reggatone). It is a nice place to show off your moves or learn the moves. It is a dress casual place, you cannot wear gym shoes and I would believe that it would be preferred that you do not wear street clothes. The comment about wearing 4-inch heels I am not to certain about, I have never had a problem going in there with flat dress shoes. It?s a great place and if you are looking for the night life, Saturday is the best night to go. more

This jewel is hard to pass up. The service and food are impeccable. On Sunday morning the buffet is great. Lots of authentic mexican cuisine and sweet entertainment by an old couple with wonderful voices.......definately do not pass up. more

I had an issue with one of the host one night I went with my friends. I had on dressy shoes with no heal and my friend had on sandals but were dressed up. And the host told me I could not come in unless I had on higher heels...It did not say anything like this on the sign outside...I asked why...and the person told me for saftey reasons... ???? so they would rather us go home and put on 4 inch stilettos and break our necks dancing?? oh i get it.... more
