Bought a 2004 Volvo XC90 just over a year ago. Six months after driving it off the lot, the headlight goes out. Technical service bulletins state that there were issues with the ballasts that at a dealer just parts alone are about $600 for ONE. After having the car about a year with regular oil changes and services and normal driving, the transmission completely FAILS. After a year???? I researched it and there are class action suits against volvo of america about these transmissions which were a failure from the drawing board. Endless Volvo Forum threads about how terrible these transmissions are flooded my browser. I understand the clause "" As-IS"" but the fact they KNOWINGLY sold me a faulty problem ridden car tells me theyl rip you off just as easy. Please stay away from them they dont care about you they just want your money and don't have a care how long the vehicle lasts after you leave their lot. Theyll seem great about breaking their neck getting you into the car, but not even getting 2 years out the vehicle before catastropihc mechanical failure? They could care less. Go somehwere else.
