We have a house that did not settle well. The drywall soaks up paint. We called Rainer b/c they had a Better Business Bureau rating. We will never rely on the BBB again after our experience. The owner, Joe Rainer, came by. Like others stated, he was charming, talked about his family, etc. He took one look. We told him the defects of our house. He said no problem. They would fix the drywall, nail pops, do the molding etc. The estimate was done onsite during the one and only visit - about $4000 for entire downstairs, upstairs hall and stair railing (our house in total is 1900 sq feet).
His crew had to come to our house 3 times and our house still looks unfinished. The quality of work is poor. I am so mad that I decided to tell our story - I have never written a review before. Here is the laundry list of problems:
1. they did not paint 2 coats like they agreed to
2. they painted around all of our outlet covers so now each outlet downstairs has a painted rectangle around it
3. they did not paint the moldings but instead painted our carpet
4. there are paint drips everywhere - doors, walls etc.
5. they painted the window trim the color of the walls instead of the white color trim
6. they painted around everything - if there was a hook on the door, instead of taking it down, they would paint around it
7. if a door was locked, they would only paint one side instead of asking us to unlock it
Bottom line, there was no attention to detail. If we had only known that they would do such poor work, we would have just painted our house ourselves. We are a two parent working family with small children. It would have taken a lot of time and work but we could have done a much better job. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
Pros: The first visit took 2 days.
Cons: The job required them to come back 2 more times.
