Is he Dr. Weule still there? I used to work there and when we moved to Florida, and came back I understood that he and Diane were moving and buying a house up in the hills. And he...

Took my cat here since I moved into the neighborhood about 2 1/2 years. She used to get her shots and check ups there on time all this years. These past 3 months I took her there ...

Be careful... 4/11/2008

Pet owners considering bringing their pets to Rainbow should be aware that the business was targeted in a KNBC hidden camera investigation in February. Dr. David Weule was shown prescribing $600.00 in medical services to a dog that had been checked out and given a clean bill of health by another qualified vet. Those interested in seeing this video can find it online at KNBC.\r \r In my personal experience, I took one of my pets to Dr. Weule. He diagnosed a chronic condition that required constant, expensive medication that could potentially damage the pet's internal organs. After I saw the KNBC report, I took my pet to another vet, who demonstrated that my pet did not have this condition, or need the medications whatsoever.\r \r Caveat emptor. Pros: None. Cons: Exploitation of pet owners. more

$600 for a $30 bottle of AntiBiotic?????????? 9/30/2007

\r Where do I start? I took my sick Calico cat in because she was losing weight and acting lethargic. I filled out a YARD of paperwork, proof of this and proof of that, and an HOUR later, the doctor agreed to see her. He was nice enough at first, and seemed to check many aspects of her health. After only a few minutes, he was baffled. No idea what's wrong. He recommended we run a full bloodwork, X-rays, etc. He said she probably ate some chemicals or something. I was so worried for her, I accepted his suggestion. We prepaid all the tests, a whopping $450. The staff was very ROUGH with her, especially given her fragile state. The nurses were more interested in my social life than asking me questions about my cat's health. I had to yell at this enormous guy to be gentle when he lifted her up by the scruff. The poor thing could barely walk!!!!!\r \r The next day, I came back in. The doctor had no answers for me. He had no idea what was wrong with her. He said she needed general antibiotic (Clavamox) $60, and special food ($40). I understood about the antibiotic, but why the food? He insisted that the food we are giving her is making her sick. I said we buy the best, healthiest food at Petco, all natural, and she likes it. It was recommended to me by 3 other vets from NYC to LA. Never had a problem. So why is she getting sick from the food? He could not give me a straight answer, except her needing the food HE SELLS for a zillion dollars. But he still couldn't give me a real answer as to what's wrong with the cat!!!!\r \r I'm a mom with two kids, and I still buy the best food I can afford, $30 / 20lb (Petco). All he did was increase the PRESSURE and the GUILT factor, for A WHOLE HOUR, while other sick animals waited in the waiting room! I was so tired of it, I just decided to give him the money for the special food so I can leave.\r \r By the time I got home, I just wanted to hug my cat and promise I would never take her back to that place. more

Best Veterinary Hospital! 7/19/2007

Our pets have been patients of Dr. Wuele for over 15 years and we've always had great results whenever one of our pets had any type of ailment, or needed surgery. The staff is very friendly and really care for the animals like no other hospital we've been to. One of our dogs had Parvo as a puppy, and the emergency hospital Doctor didn't think she'd make it. We took her to Dr. Wuele, and although he couldn't promise us that she'd make it, she did. His staff took very good care of her, gave her all the love and attention she needed to make it through. She also had knee surgery there, that turned out great. She is now 8 years old and is doing fabulous. Thanks Dr. Wuele & Rainbow Vet. Staff! more

Great for new "cat parents" 1/3/2007

Dr. Weule was recommended by my son's girlfriend, whose cats are long-standing patients of his. His warmth, sense of humor (laughing at my cat's grumbling while being treated), and down-to-earth advice are reassuring to me, a new "cat parent." more

One of the best Vets ever.... 11/29/2006

I have been a client for over 15 years, Dr. Weule has been an angel and saved my elderly pets life several times. He is always thorough and caring. When my beloved retriever died, he and his staff were so supportive and comforting. (my mother passed away about the same time) In the past I have worked for a number of Vets, and none measure up to Dr. Weule. I couldn't imagine using another doctor. He and his staff are the best! You could not find anyone better. more

if your animal is sick, this is the place to go 11/14/2006

We have been taking our pets to this hospital for over 20 years. It has a great staff and Dr Wuele is a brilliant surgeon and vet. He has dealt with major medical issues as well as basic vaccinations. We continue to recommend this hospital to friends and family. They walk you through and explain all procedures so you understand everything. PROS: knowledgeable caring staff CONS: more

Great Vet but pricey 11/11/2005

We have been to this vet several times. We found them to be great with our pets but on the higher side in terms of cost. Follow-up visits were free though. Also, the vet was great about showing us the problem......not for the squeemish, but had us look into the otoscope to see the inflammation in our dog's ears when she had ear mites. He also let us go in with him for one of the procedures (non-sedated) to comfort our dog. PROS: Great location, excellent service CONS: Pricey more
