We had a truly awful moving experience with Rainbow. We were given a date that our stuff would arrive (Aug 10) in LA about a month before we moved there from Boston. On July 27, the day the movers arrived, they told us it had been moved back to Aug 3 (only 5 days away!). We called Rainbow and they said ""Oops, sorry."" So we rearranged our lives and our cross country dirve around Aug 3. Then they called back a few hours later to say our stuff would instead be arriving between Aug 8-20. We said actually, we've changed everything to Aug 3, so let's stick with that. They said sorry, we've cancelled you off the Aug 3 truck, you can't get back on. So now we're faced with the prospect of everything not arriving until Aug 20 - almost a month away! Hello - we have jobs! We get another call a few days later saying our stuff will arrive on Aug 10. Great, that's awesome. However, when we get to our destination, we discover the truck won't be arriving until Aug 15, AND no one bothered to let us know, despite our call and emails asking them to check on it. So we wound up having to pay for a hotel for 5 extra nights because Rainbow either repeatedly gave us the wrong info or flat out lied to us.
Cons: Irresponsible, misleading, ridiculously bad customer service
