I read review of this doctor online and visit him. He is very good Doctor. The way he explain medical terms is excellent and very straightforward. He will prescribe medicines if its required only. I don't have idea about labor and child birth. Surely,I will write once i will done with Pregnancy and child-Birth. more

Good: His schedule and that he did his own ultrasound.. Bad: His delivery methods. He did not take the time for patient to go into labor. Instead he induced and rushed C-Section. Patient had no chance to deliver via vaginal birth.. Improvements: Less c-sections for his patients, more vaginal deliveries!. more

Dr. Rahula recently delivered my first child - husband and I were very satisfied with him. He was very patient, kind and explained things in detail. His office staff were also great. The only reason I didn't give him five stars was because I wish he'd been a bit more proactive about my gestational diabetes. He might not suite everyone's tastes because he's not as nannying as some OBs. This suited us fine - we prefered to do our own research and ask him any questions we had - but it obviously wouldn't work if you need/wanted someone more hands on. more

Dr. Rahula always makes time to comfort and explain in details what he will be doing as well as what the results of the testing are. He has excellent bedside manner and his staff is also very welcoming. more

This Dr has some positive and negative feedback. This is my feedback after the 3 visit. I m not completely satisfied with him Positive 1) cool 2) not hot headed 3) doesnot go for unnecesary scans 4) the staffs are also good. Negative 1) He leaves out of his room very early.Doesnot ask the patients if he/she has any more questions. He alws assumes he is done and runs away. 2) Most of time he says " I dont know" . he doesnot have the answers . This is my experience , when i asked him something that i was suffering with. he says "i dont know".... I feel WHy is kept on the proffesion then.... I am not so very happy to continue with the Doctor. more

Dr. Rahula is a great doctor...very knowledgeable in what he does. He is very loving and caring! I live in South Jersey and I stilll go see him.. I WILL NOT change doctors. He delivered my son 2 years ago..and he will be delivering my soon to be son!!. more

Raja Rahula is the best Ob/Gyn in Hudson County and has been for nearly 30 years. I have worked with him, called him my friend and named my eldest son after him. He is also a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at, I believe, NYU Medical School. more

As far as my experience and some of my friends he is a very good doctor, very satisfied with him. more

Dr. Rahula delivered my three children. He has been by doctor for fourteen years and I will not change. I moved out of Jersey City to South Jersey, but I still make my yearly visits with the Doctor. I have recommended him to many of my friends and family and they always call back to thank me. more

This doctor did not help me at all to deliver by vaginal birth. He was all about performing a C-section. My baby was under 6 lbs and he still insisted on a C-section. He had already made is mind up about performing a C-section. He has now scared me for life and now I may not be able to have anymore children through vaginal births. Not a helpful doctor at all if you are looking for a vaginal birth. If you want a C-section, then this is your doctor. Unhappy Patient more

I just read Marsha T.'s review and I was quite surprised by what she said. I have been going to Dr. Rahula for over 23 years and feel he is the absolute BEST in his field. He is not only caring but he is not a doctor that is worried about money, but rather about his patient. I love Dr. Rahula and would never ever consider changing doctors. I have not lived in Jersey City in 10 years but live in Southern Jersey and travel 1 1/2 hours to still see this doctor. My recommendation would be, and always has been, this doctor is TOP NOTCH!!! more

I went to this doctor because I thought I was pregnant and wanted to check with the doctor. This could have been the biggest mistake of my life. He did an exam and told me that I was not pregnant, he also offered me to take one of these pills that would start my period since I was late, he also told me to go on a low carb diet and exercise if I wanted to get pregnant (I am only 140lb). Luckily I did not listed to him because 4 days later I took a pregnancy test which was positive and if I listened to him and took that pill that would have aborted my baby, so when I went to him for an exam I was already pregnant. When I went to another doctor he did an exam and then sent me for a blood test to make sure that I was pregnant. If you want a good doctor DO NOT to Rahula Raja. more

I have been to other Ob/Gyn in Jersey City but not that much satisfied as Dr. Raja Rahula . I would highly recommend him for anyone , I went to him because a close friend of mine recommend to me . We always consider when best friends suggests right . Doctor was cool , even though Dr. was male , you wont feel uncomfortable because you will be having female assistant near you . This OB/Gyn is not money minded , he prescribes what required and not unnecessary test and scans . more
