Had a kitchen done. Needed three 6 ft x 10 foot slabs of granite. Did a horseshoe counter, a center island and a desk. Measurement done with a laser system. Zap. Took about 10 minutes. They returned a week later with 5 pieces, three for the horseshoe, one for the island, one for the desk. While the island and desk were not a concern, I was very surprised that the three pieces for the horseshoe all slid into place perfectly. The seam between the pieces was about 1/8th inch wide and due to the water saw cut, perfect. It looks great and wife is very happy. Only down side is you got to pay for the latest technology. Laser measurement and water saw cutting for smooth edges cost more. Also it was all custom with no ""prefab"" pieces like used by other places. (Prefab pieces do not match as well as using continuously cut numerical slabs.) If you want the best and willing to pay for it, Radtke is the place to go.
JAN 2010....Started another remodel. Two bathrooms with granite walk in showers and granite counter tops. Also a new granite top on a built in bar. Lots of delays related to arrival of sinks and prep work but Radtke did a good job once they could start. Nice work. We did save some money doing three projects at a time but the entire house was a mess. I would suggest doing one room at a time and keep the mess manageable.
Pros: Fast, accurate and beautiful work
Cons: Not the cheapest prices--be there
