I went here in October 2004. I was with a large group that had only a few choices on the menu. I believed that the least objectionable was the pork chop meal. I didn't expect much, because pork chop experiences around the family dinner table had always meant dry, bland, tough meat. Blech!\r

Quite the contrary at Raccoon River. I was amazed that the pork chops were very moist and flavorful. Overall, an excellent meal! By the way, I still wouldn't go out of my way to have pork chops anywhere else (haven't had them since), but I would definitely go back to this restaurant to order them the next time I am in Des Moines.
