The R.W. Norton is one of the largest Museums in the Shreveport/Bossier area. It's located just off Line Avenue in a quiet cul de sac. The museum boasts a large azalea garden in the Spring, and one of the nation's largest collections of Remington statues. They offer rotating exhibits of well known artists like Ansel Adams, as well as an extensive antique doll and gun collection, which is on permanent display. They also have a fabulous collection of work by European artist, Felix Kelly, representing his time in the American SouthEast.
PROS: Very diverse exhibits, free admission
CONS: Many exhibits focus on the Southwest and civil war
