fun for a high handicapper 10/5/2009

I played this course last year as I was visiting family in the area. I am a 20 handicap and thought this was one of the most beautiful and fun courses I have played. It was priced right, and not only was it clean and well maintained/manicured, but it seemed to be just tough enough and not overbearing for high handicappers like myself. Even the six or more holes where a carry off the tee is necessary didn't come off as too intimidating. And the icing? The carts come with GPS devices and a club cleaner attached. Just great!! more

Great golf course 8/21/2005

The Refuge golf course is fairly new and it is the first course that we have ever had a membership at so it is difficult for me to judge the value. I think it is a good value. The course is well maintained and is a bit difficult, which makes it a fun challenge. The clubhouse is also clean and friendly. They have good food and nice, friendly people working there. My husband golfs at the course 8-9 times a month during the summer. You can also book a wedding reception or other event in the clubhouse. more
