I have never written a bad review for a place before, but I had to in the case of R.C. Dog Care. We'd just gotten home after picking up our 1-year-old, medium-size dog from R.C. when we saw that his leg was bloody and that he was limping. Upon inspection, it was obvious he'd been bitten. When we called R.C. to ask what had happened, the owner was ""not around"" and some kid took our complaint. He said that our dog had been acting up when placed with the smaller dogs so they'd transferred him to the large dog pen. What?! Since when do you put a dog that is not getting along with the small dogs in with the big dogs? R.C.'s policy is that no pet gets put in isolation. Ever. Even when they need to be for their own protection. How long our dog was limping around with his leg injured we can only guess, but never have I ever heard of a dog kennel that would do what R.C. did and, on top of everything else, not even notice that he had been hurt. From the look and placement of the puncture wound, it is apparent that the jaw size of the animal was large, indicating that a larger dog is to blame for the attack. Of course, the owner of R.C. never returned our phone call. We will never use this kennel again
Cons: Their unprofessional and uninformed policies led to our dog being attacked
