I have lived out of state for 25 years, but every time I go back to visit the family we always have to have Quonset pizza. Please open one down here in Florida!!!!!!

At one time it was the best but ovr time it they got arragont and let the quality slip, the sauce got wattery.sausage got to spicy and the pizza suffered terribly ...sorry

Moved to Waukegan in 1972 & haven't had a bad pizza from Quonset until March 7, 2015. Watered down sauce and less sausage. Then I here the same from several other friends so it doesn't seem to be a one time thing. New owners? Wait staff is not interested in customers, only themselves. Bad pizza and unfriendly staff. more

Best Pizza ever 1/18/2011

BEST PIZZA EVER 7/10/2010

Growing up in the 60's in Waukegan you couldn't find a better Pizza. I moved to AZ in 98 and had to have that great taste. I had a friend buy some , ship in dry ice and shipped them off to me.. YUMMMY . Can you open up a store in GLEANDALE AZ ? My mouth is watering now LOL Pros: This is REAL PIZZA Cons: none more

The Best 8/30/2007

I was born in Waukegan IL and lived in Lake Villa for several years before moving to South Mississippi several years ago. I can still rememnber the wonderful taste of the Italian sausage pizza. To this day, when I get a chance to go back home, I make sure I eat here.\r Nothing compares! Great memories! more

Excellent Pizza, Excellent Service 11/3/2006

I live in Washington now, and i pay 50$ to express mail 2 cold pizza's every month =-) I used to eat this pizza ever since i was a kid, and i've been to allmost every state, and i still havent found anything comparable. Pros: Excellent Pizza Cons: Not enough of them in the world more

Great pizza....great bombers! 3/25/2006

I have been eating Quonset pizza for as long as I can remember. They are a family owned business located right off of Grand Avenue. Quonset makes only thin crust pizza and it is delicious. They make their own sausage so everything is always fresh. I love the pizza but it is their famous italian sausage bombers that is my favorite. They serve it on awesome toasted french bread with mozzarella cheese (optional) and red sauce. Hot peppers are accompanied by it as well. They have a very limited menu so you know how fresh everything is. They now carry italian beef (very good) and salads for the weight conscience. The place gets packfed but everything moves quickly so it is worth the wait if you have too. PROS: Awesome pizza CONS: more

Good if you like thin crust 5/18/2005

I personally dislike this pizza. It is thin crust and just not as tasty as many others in the area. They have a wide variety of topings, and a bar, too. It has a big following. more

Best Sausage Pizza anywhere 5/16/2005

NO gimmicks or advertising. NO franchises. Same great pizza, with no change, for the past 20 years. I've had pizza from hundreds of places, including most of the top 20 on this list, and Quonset is better. more

Family Favorite for Over 45 years 6/15/2004

Best pizza anywhere. When I was growing up and my parents said we were going out for pizza that meant only one place. There is nowhere else that serves pizza this good. My favorite is sausage and mushroom. Quonset has a unique sausage recipe that is like no other. more
