The Queens Cafe came and went in less than a year. In its place is Pianelli Ice Cream & Cafe, which is so barren it looks like it should be a front for something. The people are very friendly and say the ice cream is made on premises. It's tasty, but I suspect they stir things into it on premises rather than make it from scratch. The lights in here are punishingly harsh and nothing could make one want to linger inside except for the stack of newspapers. There is a little table outside in summer, which you can sit at if they're lucky enough to reopen when the weather gets warm. Until then I'll fear they've gone the way of Queens Cafe. For the price you might as well go to JP Licks where you can hang out in the Square.
